Cervus (Göktuğ Çitçi) was born in Istanbul in 1979. Initially interested in trip-hop, ambient, industrial, leftfield, and drum & bass, he began his career in 1997 at 104.3 Radio Cool, one of Istanbul’s leading dance music radio stations, where he developed his DJ skills.
In late 2000, he signed with the Netherlands-based Sadie Records and released his first vinyl under the alias Subsky. His track Four Days was featured on Politics of Dancing, the first compilation album by Paul Van Dyk.
In 2003, he actively participated in the founding of Dinamo 103.8 alongside Ali Şahinbaş (Fuchs) and Mete Tavukçuoğlu (Agentorange), organizing and performing at numerous events. The following year, he co-founded the record label Red Flag Collective with Yunus Güvenen, Muzo Berberoğlu, and Barış Türker. Over its four-year operation, the label released and distributed six records worldwide.
Cervus has performed at some of Istanbul’s most iconic clubs, including Godet, Crystal, Switch, 7th House, and MiniMüzikhol, gaining recognition for his DJing skills.
Under the Subsky alias, he has released over 80 vinyl and digital tracks/remixes on labels such as Plastic City, Urban Torque, Spring Tube, Night Drive Music, Forensic, Deep Records, Looq Records, Prog City Deep Trax, and Dutchie Music. He has also produced remixes for renowned Turkish artists, including Candan Erçetin, Sezen Aksu, Teoman, Mor ve Ötesi, Athena, Monality, and Büyük Ev Ablukada.
