📍We are excited to share that Project SIDLE's second transnational project meeting took place on May 21-22 2024 at Gazi Anadolu Lisesi in İstanbul, Turkey!
The meeting brought together partners from Norway (Prios), Bulgaria (ValueMe), Greece (Gymnasio Neas Kydonias), and Italy (IIS Orioli) for a productive two days.

Meeting Agenda:
🔗 SIDLE methodological framework for teachers-an activity oriented approach guiding teachers to integrate social interaction and navigate in ever evolving realm of digital language learning enviroments
🔗 A collection of best practices – a collection of best strategies,, tools, and resources used in the SIDLE methodology
🔗 SIDLE training course “Mastering Social Interaction in a Digital Language Environment”- diving deep into curriculum structure for the creation of modules and topics for the training program
🔗 Follow up platform – a space in which learning modules will be built to provide teachers with a content tailored to meet the needs when implementing SIDLE methodology.

📍The meeting was a great opportunity for our partners to share their progress, collaborate on the development of the SIDLE methodology, and plan for the future of the project. We are confident that the outcomes of this meeting will be instrumental in creating a successful and sustainable program for integrating social interaction into language learning in a digital environment.

📌Project SIDLE: Unveiling the Power of Digital Language Learning!♦️
Project SIDLE is excited to inform you that we have finalized our recent survey investigating language teaching and learning in classes in a digital age.
In collaboration with five partner countries, we explored how language teachers are utilizing pedagogical strategies to promote social interaction within digital learning environments. ️
The survey delves deeper into:
✔️ Teacher attitudes across cultures towards digitalizing language learning.
✔️ Teachers’ views on the importance and effectiveness of digital tools and resources within online classrooms.
✔️ How frequent these tools are used to facilitate social interaction between students in the digital space.
✔️ Assessment strategies used by teachers to gauge student engagement and tracking student progress in this dynamic process.
Stay curious! We'll be unveiling key findings and insights from the survey in the coming days.

We are thrilled to inform you Project SIDLE is moving full steam ahead into its second phase, dedicated to empowering language educators and creating engaging online learning environments.

✨Project SIDLE's all about equipping teachers with the tools and strategies to create interactive and engaging online language learning experiences.

✨In the second phase we are deep diving into SIDLE theory to gain a comprehensive understanding of Social Interaction in Digital Language Environments (SIDLE). This includes exploring existing teaching methods, identifying gaps, and diving into the details of the SIDLE model itself.

✨To understand the current landscape, the first step is crucial: conducting in-depth research and a comprehensive survey. This will allow us to analyze social interaction in digital language environments and identify areas where we can make a real difference.

🤝 🎉We are thrilled to share with YOU the exciting beginning of our project SIDLE - Social Interaction in Digital Language Environment № 2023-1-BG01-KA220-SCH-000161759, Erasmus+ KA220-SCH with our first international meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria!

📆Meeting Dates: November 21-22, 2023

📍Alongside our partners from Norway - Prios, Italy - Fantasticamente Orioli, Turkey - GAZI, and Greece - Γυμνάσιο Νέας Κυδωνίας, we have outlined a comprehensive management, monitoring, and ex*****on plan aimed at targeted collaboration and the successful achievement of planned outcomes.

Agenda:
1. SIDLE methodology: an activity-oriented approach guiding teachers towards social interaction in foreign language classes.
2. SIDLE training course "Mastering Social Interaction in a Digital Language Environment," comprising 5 micro-trainings with targeted content based on the European approach to micro-qualifications.
3. Toolkit: multimodal awareness of intercultural communication skills to support effective social interaction in diverse digital language environments.
4. SIDLE resource platform for building a global intercultural language community to stimulate inclusion, access, and equal opportunities for personalized learning processes.
