Professor Bruce B Lawrence, my guru and mentor on my academic journey, honored me two years ago with a visit to my home alongside his wife, Professor Miriam Cooke. Professor Bruce's unwavering support for Umran has been a cornerstone of our mission. Both Professor Miriam and Professor Bruce are advisory members of our Foundation. His humbleness and kindness continue to be an inspiring and guiding force in my life and also for Umran. I pray that God grants him and Professor Miriam more strength and good health.

Attended a talk on Kabir at the India International Center. I observed how different people connect with Kabir's poetryβhow they learn, interpret, and live by his teachings. Some seemed to embody ego, while others radiated kindness and humility.
Kabir said, 'Those who have learned love are true scholars.'
I'm still exploring what Kabir teaches, why he's so significant to people, and how they invoke his timeless wisdom in their lives.
