This paper examines ImÄm RabbÄnÄĢ SirhindÄĢ's (1564â1624) framework of spiritual wayfaring (Seyr-i SÃŧlÅĢk) as a systematic path to moral purification and ethical formation, and its enduring relevance to contemporary Islamic thought.

I had the opportunity to deliver a lecture organized by the Arakan Rohingya Academic Research Institute entitled âThe Importance of Spirituality in Shaping the Identity and Well-being of Todayâs Youth: Addressing the Challenges of Secularism, Materialism, and Digital Disconnection.â
The lecture focused on the identity challenges faced by contemporary youth and highlighted the critical role of spirituality in fostering psychological, moral, and spiritual well-being in the modern world.

đ§đŠ Hundreds of thousands of Bangladeshis attended the janazah (funeral prayer) of Sharif Osman Hadi, one of the strongest critics of India's hegemony in the region and a key leader in the July Revolution that toppled dictator Hasinaâs 16-year fascist rule.
This janazah is believed to have been one of the largest in the history of Bangladesh.
Hadi was fatally shot in the head in Dhaka on Friday by an armed member of the pro-India Awami League party. The partyâs current leader, Hasina, is hiding in India along with thousands of her affiliated gang members.

Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators have gathered in the streets of Dhaka following the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, a July Revolution leader known for his anti-India stance, at a hospital in Singapore.
Hadi, a young politician who emerged as one of the most influential leaders of the July Revolution that ousted dictator Hasinaâs 16-year fascist rule, was shot in the head in Dhaka on Friday by an unidentified pro-Indian and Awami League terrorist. According to some sources, the perpetrator fled Bangladesh and is currently residing in India.
Efforts to silence anti-Indian voices in Bangladesh are neither new nor uncommon. In an earlier incident, university student Abrar Fahad was brutally beaten to death by Awami League terrorists after he criticized India and denounced ousted dictator Sheikh Hasinaâs pro-India foreign policy on social media.
Several Bangladeshi army officers were also abducted by Hasinaâs government for their anti-India stanceâmost notably former Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi and former Lieutenant Colonel Hasinur Rahmanâwho spent eight and two years, respectively, in secret detention centers and endured unimaginable horrors, brutality, and torture.
Widespread outrage toward Indiaâs hegemonic policies became even more visible in the aftermath of Hadiâs martyrdom.
Shortly after the shooting, several developments unfolded:
đģ On Sunday, Bangladesh summoned Indiaâs envoy in Dhaka to express concern over reports that fugitive Hasina was being allowed to operate from Indian territory to undermine next Februaryâs national elections.
đģ Abu Shadik Kayem, Vice-President of the Dhaka University Central Studentsâ Union (DUCSU) and one of the July Revolutionâs key leaders, demanded on Monday that the home, law, and foreign affairs advisers resign if the government fails to arrest all those directly involved in Hadiâs shooting and to restore law and order.
đģ Another July Revolution leader, Hasnat Abdullah, wrote on Facebook: âIndia: The safe house of terrorists, vote riggers, mafias, and killers.â He also threatened to âcut off the Seven Sisters (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura) from India.â
đģ A massive crowd protested in front of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
đģ Enraged demonstrators torched the offices of the Daily Prothom Alo and The Daily Star, accusing the outlets of advancing Indian interests and justifying Hasinaâs 16-year dictatorship through pro-Indian narratives.
đģ At Dhanmondi 32, protesters attacked and vandalized the residence of Hasinaâs father, Mujibur Rahman, using cranes. They referred to the site as âthe shrine of fascism in Bangladesh.â
đģ Dhaka University's Bangabandhu Hall has been renamed 'Shaheed Osman Hadi Hall' in honor of the martyred leader; protesters have declared Shahbagh Squareâinfamously the site where Hasina's fascist regime took root during the 2013 protestsâ'Martyr Hadi Square' to reclaim its legacy from oppression.

Alhamdulillah, my new research article, titled "The Influence of Sufi-Centric Movements on the Flourishing of Islamic Plurality in the Indian Subcontinent," has been published in the 2nd issue of the 26th volume of Afkar: Jurnal Akidah & Pemikiran Islam by the University of Malaya, ranked 60th in the QS World University Rankings. This journal is indexed in Web of Science and Scopus Q1, and is renowned in the fields of Islamic Studies and Theology.
The article critically analyzes the Deobandi, Nadwi, Tablighi Jamaâat, and Barelvi movements from a Sufi perspective. After two and a half years of dedicated research and multiple revisions, this publication represents a key milestone in my academic career. I hope it contributes valuable insights to Islamic Studies and Theology, offering a new perspective for interested scholars.
