Laos hands over 98 Chinese cybercrime suspects to Chinese authorities

The Ministry of Public Security has handed over 98 Chinese nationals suspected of involvement in cybercrime to Chinese authorities for investigation, following recent law-enforcement operations targeting cybercrime networks and online gambling activities in Laos.
The group was transferred to the custody of Chinese police at Wattay International Airport on Monday, under Laos’ Law on International Cooperation in Criminal Matters. (Read more ⬇️⬇️⬇️)

Wu Huajing was a 17-year-old medical student in Guangdong, China, with her whole life ahead of her. But on November 9, 2012, a traffic accident left her critically injured. She never recovered.

Before her death, Wu had already told her parents that if the worst happened, she wanted to donate her organs. She wanted her life to continue helping others and, in her words, to repay society. Her parents honored that wish. Within a day of her death, doctors transplanted her liver and kidneys and recovered both corneas, giving five other people a chance at life or restored sight.

Her liver was transplanted into a 41-year-old man battling liver cancer, while her kidneys and corneas helped four more patients. Before the procedures began, the medical team gathered around Wu and bowed their heads in silence... a final gesture of respect for the teenager whose last decision would give strangers a second chance.

Wu had been studying to become someone who could save lives. She never got the chance to finish her training, but in the end, she became exactly that... just in a way she never could have imagined.
