1.

Manage the solid and liquid waste issues along Nai Yang Beach.
2. Develop a waste separation project to promote
Saying no to single-use plastics can make a massive impact over time. Offering alternatives at your business such as paper straws, water bottle filling stations, and cardboard take away containers is even better!
Wow! What a great project! How can we get this to Phuket?

A great day for the Nai Yang community! With over 100 people from various businesses and schools in the area, we worked together to collect 55 bags of garbage from the National Park beach. It was excellent to come together as a community, network and reestablish a commitment to work towards sustainability in Nai Yang. Thank you to all who were able to make it!
Join us for a beach clean with a twist! On Sunday, January 28th, the Nai Yang community will come together with Upcycling the Oceans to turn ocean trash into sustainable fashion. We need all the volunteers we can get, so we hope to see you there!
Powerful!

The Grade 10's at UWC Thailand have stepped up to maintain the Green Nai Yang recycle bins! Yesterday, 8 inspired youth spent their afternoon emptying the bins and sorting the plastic, metal and glass. We managed to empty and clean 3 bins, collecting 6 large bags of recycling (and 2 of garbage). The bin in front of Dewa was in bad shape... filled with decomposing garbage, insects and rats! We didn't finish emptying this one completely as we ran out of time. This bin needs to be cleaned on a regular basis in the future. In June we will come again to empty the other two and finish the one in front of Dewa.
The money raised for the recycling will go back into the GNY fund to sponsor future bins, signage, etc. I will post the amount later this week once we have dropped off the bags at the recycling station.
A big thank you to the Grade 10 CAS class at UWC Thailand! Your help is appreciated!
