Phuket takes action! Crackdown on “ nominees”: Raids conducted at 8 locations across the island.
Phuket Provincial Police, in collaboration with the Phuket Provincial Commerce Office and the Phuket Provincial Administration, launched a proactive operation to raid high-risk businesses in an attempt to dismantle “ ” networks that are operating illegally in the area.
📍 On March 31st, at the Phuket Provincial Police Operations Center, Pol. Maj. Gen. Sinlert Sukhum, Commander of the Phuket Provincial Police, along with related agencies, announced the results of raids on 8 targets covering Mueang Phuket, Thalang, and Kathu districts.
👉 This operation followed continuous intelligence indicating a risk of illegal business operations by foreigners using “ nationals as nominees,” also known as nominees.
🔎 The targets raided:
Mostly car rental and real estate businesses. And eight daycare centers, spread across several areas such as Patong, Chalong, Choeng Thale, Karon, Kamala, Sakoo, and Wichit.
📂 Officials focused on checking important documents, including:
• Company registration
• Shareholding structure
• Financial trail
to find evidence linking wrongdoing and further investigation.
⚠️ Several risky behaviors were found:
• Some used Thai nationals as "nominees" receiving only a few thousand baht.
• Some businesses had foreigners as the actual managers.
• In some cases, shareholdings did not correspond to the financial facts.
📊 Phuket police have previously prosecuted seven cases of this nature and are continuing to pursue them relentlessly.
🚗 Car rental businesses are under close scrutiny.
It was found that there are over 300 operators, and several have been arrested. Authorities are also cracking down on renting cars to foreigners without driver's licenses.
Previously, the number of arrests reached 20,000 – 30,000 cases per year.
📉 However, after the intensified crackdown, there has been a significant decrease in tourist accidents.
⚖️ Strong warning! Accepting a job as a nominee carries a real risk of imprisonment.
The maximum sentence is 2 years imprisonment and a fine of 200,000 baht.
Officials warn the public not to be misled into accepting positions as nominee shareholders for foreigners, as they may face full criminal penalties.

📍 เมื่อวันที่ 31 มีนาคม ที่ศูนย์ปฏิบัติการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต พล.ต.ต.สินเลิศ สุขุม ผบก.ภ.จว.ภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วยหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง แถลงผลการปฏิบัติการตรวจค้น 8 เป้าหมาย ครอบคลุมพื้นที่ อ.เมืองภูเก็ต อ.ถลาง และ อ.กะทู้
👉 ปฏิบัติการครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นหลังเจ้าหน้าที่ได้รับเบาะแสต่อเนื่อง พบความเสี่ยงเกี่ยวกับการลักลอบประกอบธุรกิจของคนต่างด้าว โดยใช้ “ #คนไทยถือหุ้นแทน” หรือที่เรียกว่า นอมินี (Nominee)
🔎 เป้าหมายที่เข้าตรวจค้น
ส่วนใหญ่เป็นธุรกิจรถเช่า อสังหาริมทรัพย์ และสถานรับเลี้ยงเด็ก รวม 8 แห่ง กระจายหลายพื้นที่ เช่น ป่าตอง ฉลอง เชิงทะเล กะรน กมลา สาคู และวิชิต
📂 เจ้าหน้าที่เน้นตรวจสอบเอกสารสำคัญ ทั้ง
• การจดทะเบียนบริษัท
• โครงสร้างผู้ถือหุ้น
• เส้นทางการเงิน
เพื่อหาหลักฐานเชื่อมโยงการกระทำผิด และขยายผลต่อไป
⚠️ พบพฤติการณ์เสี่ยงหลายจุด
• บางแห่งใช้คนไทยเป็น “นอมินี” รับเงินเพียงหลักพัน
• บางธุรกิจมีต่างชาติเป็นผู้บริหารตัวจริง
• บางกรณีถือหุ้นไม่สอดคล้องกับข้อเท็จจริงทางการเงิน
📊 ที่ผ่านมา ตำรวจภูเก็ตดำเนินคดีลักษณะนี้แล้ว 7 คดี และยังเดินหน้าต่อเนื่องแบบ “ไม่หยุด”
🚗 ธุรกิจรถเช่าถูกจับตาหนัก
พบว่ามีผู้ประกอบการกว่า 300 ราย และเคยจับกุมไปแล้วหลายแห่ง พร้อมเข้มงวดเรื่องการปล่อยเช่ารถให้ต่างชาติที่ไม่มีใบขับขี่
ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้มีสถิติจับกุมสูงถึงปีละ 20,000 – 30,000 คดี
📉 อย่างไรก็ตาม หลังเข้มงวดกวดขัน พบว่าอุบัติเหตุของนักท่องเที่ยวลดลงอย่างชัดเจน
⚖️ เตือนแรง! รับจ้างเป็นนอมินี เสี่ยงคุกจริง
มีคำพิพากษาจำคุกสูงสุด 2 ปี ปรับ 200,000 บาท
เจ้าหน้าที่เตือนประชาชน อย่าหลงรับจ้างถือหุ้นแทนต่างชาติ เพราะอาจต้องรับโทษทางอาญาเต็มรูปแบบ
📣 หากพบเบาะแสธุรกิจผิดกฎหมาย แจ้งได้ที่สถานีตำรวจใกล้บ้าน หรือสายด่วน 191 ตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง
