ประวัติโรงเรียนโดยย่อ
โรงเรียนดารุลอามาน ตั้งอยู่เลขที่ 164 / 1 หมู่ที่ 10 ตำบลเกาะแต้ว อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสงขลา เดิมเป็นโรงเรียนปอเนาะสอนสายศาสนาอิสลามอย่างเดียว จัดสร้างโดยโต๊ะครูฮัจยี อับดุลเลาะห์ ยะนาย ในปี 2518 ด้วยงบประมาณส่วนตัว และได้รับการสนันสนุนบริจาคจากชาวบ้าน ตำบลเกาะแต้ว ตำบลพะวง ตำบลทุ่งหวัง ตำบลเขารูปช้าง ในเขตอำเภอเมืองจังหวัดสงขลาและจังหวัดใกล้
เคียงหลายจังหวัด โดยมีเนื้อที่ทั้งหมด 3 ไร่ 2 งาน 15ตารางวา ท่านโต๊ะครูฮัจยีอับดุลเลาะห์ได้ดำเนินกิจการมาจนถึงปี พ.ศ. 2525 ก็ได้หยุดการเรียนการสอนอันเนื่องมาจากปัญหาสุขภาพและขาดสภาพคล่อง ไม่เอื้อในการดำเนินการได้
ปีพ.ศ. 2530 ท่านโต๊ะครูฮัจยีอับดุลเลาะห์ ยะนาย ได้หมอบหมายให้ โต๊ะครูฮัจยีอาหมัด หมัดโต๊ะบวช ซึ่งเป็นบุตรเขยของท่าน ดำเนินการสอนและก่อสร้างต่อเติมอาคารเรียน อาคารหอพักนักเรียนชาย หญิง จนสำเร็จไประดับหนึ่ง สามารถที่จะทำการเรียนการสอน
ปีพ.ศ. 2546 โรงเรียนได้รับอนุญาตให้เปิดสอน วิชาศาสนาควบคู่วิชาสามัญ โดยใช้หลักสูตรขั้นพื้นฐาน พ.ศ. 2544 ระดับช่วงชั้นที่ 3 ( ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 – 3 ในปีการศึกษา 2546 ) มีอาคารเรียนและอาคารประกอบ เป็นอาคาร คสล. 1 หลัง และอาคารครึ่งตึกครึ่งไม้ 1 หลัง มีห้องเรียน 4 ห้อง และห้องประกอบอื่นๆ อีก 4 ห้อง
ปีพ.ศ. 2547 โรงเรียนได้จัดสร้างอาคารหอพักนักเรียนชายอีกหนึ่งหลัง ขนาด 46 x 20 เมตร บรรจุนักเรียนได้ 150 คน เพื่อรองรับนักเรียนที่อยู่ต่างจังหวัด
ปีพ.ศ. 2549 โรงเรียนได้ขออนุญาตจากสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาสงขลา เขต 1 เพื่อขออนุญาตขยายชั้นเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย
ปีพ.ศ. 2550 โรงเรียนได้ขออนุญาตจดทะเบียนเป็นนิติบุคคลในนามมูลนิธิ โดยใช้ชื่อว่ามูลนิธิเพื่อการศึกษาดารุลอามาน มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้โอกาสสำหรับผู้ที่ด้อยโอกาสทางการศึกษา และในปีการศึกษาเดียวกันโรงเรียนได้ขออนุญาตจากสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาสงขลา เขต 1 เพื่อขออนุญาตขยายชั้นเรียนในระดับอนุบาล ประถมศึกษา ปัจจุบันเปิดสอนตั้งแต่ระดับชั้นอนุบาล ถึงชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย
ต่อมาโรงเรียนได้ดำเนินการต่อโดยมีประสิทธิภาพมาตามเวลาโรงเรียนดารุลอามาได้เนินถึงเรื่องการมีคุณธรรม และจริยธรรม และกระดำเนินชีวิตโดยให้มีหลักยึดเนียวใจทาศาสนามาเป็นหลักสอนให้คนเดินตามสิ่งที่อยู่ในขอบเขต ให้อยู่ในการรำลึกถึงผู้สร้าง แต่ถึงยังไงก็ตาม ดารุลอามมาน ในวันนี้ ได้ ส่งเสริม ให้ น.ร ทุกคนมีความฝัน และ ให้โอกาศมากมายแก่เด็กที่จะเดินทางตำความฝัน โรงเรียนเลยมีจุดเดินในเรื่อง การช่อยเหลื่อแก่กัน และส่งเสริม ให้โอกาศต่อกัน
