On October 2, 2025, the Faculty of Political Science, TU, organized an academic seminar titled “The Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship, Maritime Security and the South China Sea” at Tha Prachan Campus. The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Millicent Cruz-Paredes, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Thailand, who delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a thought-provoking exchange among speakers from both Thailand and abroad, including Hon. Justice Antonio T. Carpio, Prof. Charmaine Misalucha-Willoughby, Dr. Pongkwan Sawasdipakdi, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Piemsak Hongjamrassilp, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jittipat Poonkham serving as the moderator. The discussion addressed key issues such as maritime security, the Philippines’ role in ASEAN, and the South China Sea dispute, offering deep insights into the evolving dynamics of Southeast Asia in the context of international politics.

On Friday, November 15, 2024, the Master of Arts in Asia-Pacific Studies program organized an activity to make Krathongs from natural materials. This activity aimed to help international students learn about and participate in the Loy Krathong festival, which is an important Thai tradition. The purpose of this event was to promote understanding of Thai culture and enhance cultural experiences for international students.

On August 21, 2024, students from the Master of Arts in Asia-Pacific Studies (MAPS) program went on a field trip to visit MCOT9 and Matichon, leading television and online media companies in Thailand.
