Dear Karenni Youth, we are back with another opportunity!
Join our 3-month FREE Online English Learning Program designed especially for Karenni youth inside the state and along the Thai–Myanmar border.

🗓 Duration: 3 months (conduct via Zoom)
📌Application Form released: 19 Aug to 6 Sep
📌Entrance exam and Interview: 8 Sep to 12 Sep
📌Orientation Week: Third week of September (Includes basic digital literacy, online safety, Email etiquette, Google Classroom, Document, etc..)
📌Classes Start Date: Fourth week of September 2025
📌Class End date: Third week of December

The K-Edu Border is an online English learning program specially designed for Karenni youth in the Karenni community, both within our state and along the Thai–Myanmar border. It not only provides English language skills, but also soft skills and essential education pathways that help young learners continue their studies, grow with confidence, and prepare for future opportunities.

This will be our second batch, with two English levels: Elementary to Pre-Intermediate, and Pre-Intermediate to Intermediate. It’s designed to support students at different levels while helping them build a strong foundation for future learning.

The K-Edu Border Program is open to everyone in the Karenni community, regardless of gender, disability, or religion. Our classes are especially designed for young people and individuals who want to strengthen their English in order to:

We understand the challenges our students face, language barriers, limited access to education, and the difficulties of the current conflict. That’s why we also provide mentorship,soft skills classes, helping students gain the skills and confidence, resilience, and knowledge to continue their studies, take part in online courses, and pursue further opportunities in education and beyond.

🚀 English Summar Online course of Kedu Border’ Batch 1 has been successfully completed, and we are now preparing to move forward with Batch 2, offering two different levels of courses: Elementary to Pre-Intermediate and Pre-Intermediate to Intermediate. To ensure the continuation of these courses, we are seeking a mini-grant.

✔ what is the K-Edu Border?

K-Edu Border is a free 3-month intensive online English summer program designed to equip Karenni high school graduate students who are willing to pursue post-secondary education—for example:GED, or higher education—with English language proficiency at B1 (intermediate) level necessary for success in their further education journey.

✔ Who is eligible to participate in K-Edu?

-Young people aged between 17-24 in the Karenni region.

-Who have been displaced (IDPs and Refugee) and impacted by conflicts

-Regardless of gender or religion.

-High school graduates who are encountering various obstacles, including limited access to education, language barriers, and issues with confidence and motivation due to ongoing regional conflict.

-Who are willing to pursue post-secondary education, for example: GED, higher education, or other online courses
