Thank you to everyone who came along to the Strathaven Fitness Roadshow today! 🙌💪

And a HUGE hats-off 🎩👏 to those of you who took on THREE classes in a row today! 🤯🔥 My class was the third one and somehow you were STILL switched on, working hard and giving it everything right to the end! 💪 What a bunch!

Strathaven has been especially rewarding for me this week, with some proper “YESSSS, look at that!” moments! 🥹🙌

On Wednesday’s Circuits, I was amazed to see the progress one of our participants has made with her low-to-high plank. Something that has been a challenge before is now looking SO much stronger! 💪

And then came Aqua… 🥹💦 Over the past few weeks, we’ve been using water dumbbells to work on hip and hamstring flexibility. When we first started, the idea of extending a leg out to the side and actually grabbing the foot produced considerably more laughter than success! 😂🙈

But week by week… little by little… we kept working at it.

And last Wednesday? THE WHOLE GROUP GOT IT! 🙉🎉👏

Those are the moments that make being a coach so ridiculously rewarding. Seeing people improve, gain confidence and achieve something they couldn’t do a few weeks earlier is honestly the best bit of the job. ❤️

So… what a week! And I’m definitely not slowing down! 😏

I’ve already taken on TWO more upskilling/personal development opportunities 🙉📚💪

I’ll reveal what I’ve been getting myself into very soon… 👀😂

For now, thank you Strathaven for another brilliant week! ❤️ You lot keep me on my toes!

I’M BACK! 👀

Well folks… the holidays are officially over and I’m back! 😭😂

A massive THANK YOU to all of you for being absolute wee stars while I was away! 💛🙏 And a special thank you for being so lovely and kind to all the amazing coaches who stepped in to cover my classes. ❤️👏

I hope you enjoyed a wee break from me… because I’m back now, refreshed, recharged and ready to make you work hard again! 😂🔥

Don’t worry though — I promise I’ll ease you back in gently…

…just kidding. 😈🤣

I’m especially excited to be covering for Ian Thompson on Wednesday! 🥰 I’ll be spending my afternoon with the lovely JWSC crew, and I’m really looking forward to seeing your wee faces again! 💪❤️

And then we’ve got SATURDAY! 🤩🤠

I’m absolutely buzzing for my 11am Circuits class at Strathaven Leisure Centre, which will be part of the SLLC Fitness Roadshow! 🎉💪

So come along, bring your energy, bring your pals, and let’s get a good old Saturday sweat on! 🔥😂

Basically… the holidays were lovely, but it’s time to get back to what I do best:

making you sweat, making you laugh and occasionally making you wonder why you signed up for this in the first place. 😂😂💪

See you all very soon!
WHOOP WHOOP! 🥳🙌

😂 YOUR COACH ON HOLIDAYS… 🇵🇱⛷️

100 km/h. 💨
Sliding down a ski-jumping hill. 🏔️
In a PONTOON. 🛟😂

Me before my holidays:

🧠 “I’m self-employed. Not going to do anything risky while I’m away. Only responsible behaviours and sensible decisions.” 😇

Also me a few days later:

“Hmmmm… should I slide down one of Poland’s most famous ski jumps in an inflatable pontoon?” 🤔

YES. OBVIOUSLY. 😂😂😂

This is Wielka Krokiew in Zakopane — Poland’s iconic ski-jumping hill and one of the most famous sporting landmarks in the country. Ski jumping is HUGE in Poland 🇵🇱, and Zakopane regularly attracts tens of thousands of passionate fans for the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup.

And Poland is seriously good at this sport! 🇵🇱🏆 Adam Małysz and Kamil Stoch are absolute legends, with Poland having won six overall Ski Jumping World Cup titles in the 20-year period covered by FIS — four by Małysz and two by Stoch.

Fun fact: the record on Wielka Krokiew is 143.5 metres, set by Dawid Kubacki in 2019. 😳🎿

And apparently my personal contribution to Polish ski-jumping history was…

NOT JUMPING.
NOT SKIING.
BUT YEETING MYSELF DOWN THE HILL IN A RUBBER RING. 🤣🛟💨

Honestly, I came to Zakopane to admire the mountains… and somehow ended up becoming the least aerodynamic ski jumper Poland has ever seen. 😂🇵🇱

☀️ Holiday Update – Week 2! 😎

As I head into the second week of my holidays, I thought I'd let you know who's taking over the job of torturing you in my absence! 😂💪

I hope you've all been enjoying a wee break from me so far (although I'm sure some of you are secretly missing those hill climbs and burpees... 👀🤣).

A huge thank you once again to all the fantastic instructors covering my classes while I'm away. ❤️ Please give them a warm welcome, work hard, and be kind—they're doing an amazing job keeping you all moving!

I'll be back in August, refreshed, recharged, and full of even more fun ideas and challenges for you all! 😈🚴‍♀️💥

Until then, keep showing up, keep smiling, and keep smashing those workouts! 💙

See you all very soon!

💪☀️🚴‍♀️

One of the last breaking sessions with in Glasgow before heading off to in Slovakia! 🇸🇰🔥

I'm still very much a beginner, so my emotions are basically:
😱 50% "What have I signed up for?"
🤩 50% "THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!"

I'm ridiculously excited to learn from incredible coaches and meet breakers from all over the world who are just as obsessed with this art as I am. ❤️

I'm also so grateful I managed to take a few days off work so my body can focus on breaking for the first time. 🙏 One thing I do appreciate is that my job keeps me fit every day. It means I feel physically strong 💪, my endurance is there 🫁, and I'm flexible enough to survive the camp (hopefully 😂).

Now... coordination? 🤹‍♀️
Technique? 😅
Actually making my body do what my brain is imagining? 🤦‍♀️
Yeah... we're still negotiating.

And then there's confidence... 😬

Emma introduced us to our first cyphers (for the non-breakers: that's when everyone forms a circle and you take turns stepping into the middle to dance while everyone watches 👀😂). Let's just say stepping into the middle of that circle felt like being the only person who hadn't revised for the exam... except everyone was watching. 🙈😂

Then there are freezes—those moments where breakers suddenly stop in a cool, controlled position, usually balancing on their hands, head, shoulders or elbows, looking like gravity has agreed to take a coffee break. ❄️💥 They're one of my favourite parts of breaking... unfortunately my shoulder seems to have missed the memo and has recently decided to go backwards instead of forwards. 😭 So I'm a little nervous about how much I'll be able to progress them.

But here's the plan: show up, ask questions, laugh at myself, celebrate the tiny wins, and soak up as much knowledge as possible. 💪✨

Because every person who's good at something was once the beginner who looked slightly confused... and probably fell over a lot. 😂

So here's to stepping outside the comfort zone, embracing the awkward phase, and remembering that progress isn't always pretty—but it's always worth it. ❤️

Good luck to everyone who's learning a new skill right now. Keep showing up. Your future self will thank you. 🙌🔥

☀️ Holiday mode: ON! ✈️😎

I'm officially heading off for a wee holiday! 🏖️

A massive THANK YOU to all my amazing colleagues who are stepping in to cover my classes while I'm away. ❤️ They really are doing me a huge favour, so please give them a warm welcome, be kind, and show them the same fantastic energy you always bring. 🙌

I hope you all enjoy having a little break from me...😂

Don't get too comfortable though... I'll be back in August with plenty more ideas to challenge you (or, as some of you might say... torture you! 😈😂). New workouts, new challenges, and of course, plenty of laughs along the way!

Keep working hard, look after yourselves, and I'll see you all very soon. ❤️

Have a brilliant two weeks, everyone! ☀️🍦

🚴‍♀️🔥 **WHAT. A. BATTLE.** 🔥🚴‍♂️

Wow... this was **SO close!** 🤯

The winning team took the victory by just **0.29 km (0.18 miles)!** 🏆

You'll have to forgive me for only publishing the results now! 😅 I wanted to make sure everything was calculated properly and accurately. Some bikes recorded distances in **miles**, others in **kilometres**, so there was quite a bit of converting involved... and yes, I checked the calculations **three times!** 🤓📊

Before I reveal the winners, a little disclaimer... 👇

Comparing distances from different stationary bikes isn't a perfect science. Different bike models can be calibrated slightly differently, resistance settings may vary even if they display the same level, bikes receive different levels of maintenance, and even small setup differences can affect the distance shown.

So these results **aren't a true measure of fitness**—they're simply a fun way to motivate ourselves, challenge each other, and work towards our personal goals. 💪❤️

To keep things as fair as possible, I collected everyone's distance and divided it by the number of participants in each class to calculate the **average distance per rider**.

🥁🥁🥁 **And the winner of our FIRST EVER East Kilbride vs Strathaven Spinning Battle is...**

🏆🎉 **STRATHAVEN!** 🎉🏆

With an average of **17.66 km per rider!** 🚴

East Kilbride (JWSC) finished **incredibly close** with an average of **17.37 km per rider.**

Just **0.29 km** separated the two teams... now *that* is what you call a battle! 👏🔥

# # 📊 Class Results

🚴 **JWSC** – **17.37 km** average

🚴 **Strathaven – 6.00pm** – **18.21 km** average 🥇

🚴 **Strathaven – 7.00pm** – **17.12 km** average

Within Strathaven, the **6.00pm class** just edged out the **7.00pm class**. 👏

# # 🌟 Top Individual Distances

🥇 **21.92 km** – Strathaven (6.00pm)

🥈 **20.18 km** – Strathaven (6.00pm)

🥉 **19.95 km** – JWSC

👏 Massive congratulations to our winning team and to our top riders!

And an even bigger **THANK YOU** to everyone who took part. ❤️ It was fantastic to see so many of you getting involved, encouraging each other and giving it your all.

This was a bit of a test run for me too, helping me work out the best way to collect and compare the results. I think it's safe to say... **we'll definitely be doing it again!** 😁🚴

🌴 I'm now heading off for a wee holiday, but don't get too comfortable... **Battle #2** will be waiting for you when I'm back! 😉

Take care, keep pedalling, keep smiling, and I'll see you all in **August!** ☀️🚴💛

☀️ Summer is here... but that doesn't mean our motivation takes a holiday! 💪💛

Let's keep those fitness goals rolling through July! Whether you're chasing PBs, boosting your energy, or just coming along for a laugh and a great workout, I've got plenty happening this week.

🚴 Monday is a BIG one!
We're kicking off the EK vs Strathaven Spinning Battle with THREE battle rides, so come along, bring your energy and help your team fly the flag! 🔥🚴

🧘 Then we're finishing the day with an 8.00pm Yoga class at SLC, where I'll be covering for Ashley. The perfect way to stretch, unwind and recover after all that hard work.

📅 Please come and see me this week if you can because after Thursday I'll be heading off on my summer holidays for the rest of the month! 🌴☀️ I'll miss you all, so let's make this week a brilliant one!

Thank you all for your continued support—it honestly makes every class so much fun. Let's finish my July classes on a high with plenty of smiles, sweat and good vibes! 💛

See you in class! 💪😁

🚴‍♀️💥 BIG SPINNING BATTLE TOMORROW! 💥🚴‍♂️

East Kilbride 🆚 Strathaven ( Leisure in South Lanarkshire Gyms)

There's still 7 spaces left to join Team East Kilbride... who's going to step up and help bring home the win? 👀

🔥 Team Strathaven is FULL!
All 28 bikes have been snapped up:
🚴 Group 1 – 6:00pm ✅ Full
🚴 Group 2 – 7:00pm ✅ Full

(Although... keep an eye out in case someone can't make it and a space appears! 😉)

How does the battle work?
Simple!

🎵 Every class rides to the same playlist.
💪 Everyone completes the same challenges in the same time.
📊 At the end of each class, we'll total up everyone's bike stats.

🏆 The winning team is the one whose riders cover the greatest average distance. So every single rider counts... no pressure! 😅

Who's taking home the bragging rights? East Kilbride or Strathaven? We'll find out tomorrow! 🚴🔥🏆

Saturday afternoons have looked a little different recently... 😎🕺

Had another brilliant breaking session at Overnewton Community Centre with the amazing Ready. I'm so grateful she's helping me get ready for the breaking camp I'm heading off to soon... 😱🙉 Wish me luck!

This video is a wee combo we've been working on. At the moment it feels about 10% "breaking" and 90% "thinking really hard about where my arms and legs are supposed to go!" 😂

Now it's just a matter of repeating it... oh... only about a million times! Then polishing every little detail until it's faster, smoother and actually looks like I know what I'm doing. 😅

I won't lie—my shoulder injury has slowed my progress down recently, and that's been a bit frustrating. But it's also reminded me that progress isn't always a straight line. Sometimes you have to adapt, be patient and keep showing up.

Sound familiar? 😉 It's exactly what I tell all of you in my fitness classes. We all want results yesterday, but improvement comes from consistency, not perfection.

So I'll keep practising, keep laughing at myself, and keep chipping away at the basics before camp. One session at a time! 💪

Who's with me? What's something you're working hard to improve right now, even if it feels slow? 🧡
