📢 Program Schedule | The 7th LSCIC 2026

We are pleased to share the program schedule for the 7th Language, Society, and Culture International Conference (LSCIC) under the theme:

🌏 “Humanities and Social Sciences in the AI Era: Language, Culture, and Education”

📅 August 28, 2026
📍 Century Park Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand

Featuring keynote addresses by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wirote Aroonmanakun (Chulalongkorn University) and Prof. Dr. Rob Waring (Notre Dame Seishin University, Japan), plus a workshop and full-day paper presentations.

We are pleased to introduce Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wirote Aroonmanakun as the second keynote speaker for The 7th Language, Society, and Culture International Conference 2026 (LSCIC 2026).

Keynote Topic:
From Tools to Co-Workers: Language, Agency, and Education in the AI Era

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wirote Aroonmanakun is Director of the Sirindhorn Thai Language Institute, Chulalongkorn University. With academic training in Computer Engineering, Linguistics, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Georgetown University, his work bridges language, technology, corpus linguistics, and AI. His recent publications and invited talks reflect sustained leadership in Thai NLP, digital humanities, and the educational impact of AI, including work on AI and the Future of Higher Education, and recent books on Thai language processing and AI from a linguist’s perspective.

Join us at LSCIC 2026 for a timely keynote that will deepen discussion on how AI is reshaping language, education, and human agency in contemporary society.

🎤 Keynote Speaker Announcement | LSCIC 2026

We are pleased to introduce Dr. Rob Waring as a keynote speaker for The 7th Language, Society, and Culture International Conference 2026 (LSCIC 2026).

Keynote Topic: Can AI Solve the Input Problem in ELT?

Dr. Rob Waring is Emeritus Professor at Notre Dame Seishin University, Japan, and a globally recognized scholar in extensive reading and vocabulary acquisition. He serves on the Executive Board of the Extensive Reading Foundation and is also Visiting Professor at Thammasat University, Thailand, and Adjunct Professor at Vietnam National University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh City. He has published more than 80 articles and has delivered keynote and featured talks in 37 countries.
