Educational Development Class. 📚
Our Educational Development Class was full of fun, learning, and imagination as our students explored the exciting world of jobs and workplaces. 👨⚕️👩🏫👨🚒
Activity 1: Learn Jobs and Workplaces Vocabulary ~ The students learned the names of 10 different jobs and their matching workplaces, including doctor–hospital, teacher–school, firefighter–fire station, police officer–police station, chef–restaurant, farmer–farm, pilot–airport, baker–bakery, dentist–dental clinic, and librarian–library. Through interactive discussions and vocabulary practice, the students improved their English speaking skills while discovering the important roles people play in our communities.
Activity 2: Job and location puzzle ~ The students matched each job card with its correct workplace. This exciting hands-on puzzle encouraged teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and careful thinking as the students confidently discussed and chose the correct answers in English.
Activity 3: Introduce My Job Role Play activity ~ Our classroom came alive as each student stepped to the front with a job hat and workplace card to role-play their chosen profession. The students proudly introduced themselves by saying, "Hello, my name is… I’m a… I work in/at a/an…" This activity helped build confidence in public speaking while giving every student the opportunity to practise complete English sentences in a fun and engaging way.
It was wonderful to see our students learning with enthusiasm, supporting one another, and growing in confidence as they expanded their English vocabulary through interactive games and imaginative role-play.
