Sitkongdet Muay is a traditional Muay Thai gym located in Hua Hin, with a stable of Thai fighters and offering training to foreigners
Sitkongdet is a traditional Muay Thai gym located in a rural area of Hua Hin, 200km south of Bangkok. We are dedicated to developing our stable of young Thai fighters into champions while also offering foreigners the chance to learn the true art of Thai style fighting from our very experienced trainers. We place a limit on the amount of foreign students who can train at the gym to ensure the highe
st quality in training, so that individual attention is never compromised, and to maintain the focus of our gym which is to build our fighters. Head trainer and co-owner Ajarn Sanong (fight name Kongdet Rattanachote) has more than 30 years of experience in Muay Thai, having fought since he was 9 years old. Well known for his extremely strong clinch and knees, Sanong was formerly ranked number 1 in the lightweight and super-lightweight divisions at Lumpinee stadium. Sanong went on to train some of the biggest champions in Muay Thai and boxing including Lamsongkram, Laimangkon and Jomthong Chuwattana. Having Taught Muay Thai around the world P-Sanong has a true love for the sport and is very passionate in teaching both Thai and foreign students. Ajarn Sanong is accompanied by Kru Saenchai (fight name Saenchai Jirakriangkrai), formerly a top fighter of Channel 7 and OneSongchai promotions. Since becoming a trainer, Saenchai has brought up many very strong fighters such as Nichao Suwitgym (who he trained to Thailand, WBC, Rajadamnern and South Thailand titles) Chokpreecha Kor Sagunchua (who he trained to a Lumpinee title) and Watcharachai Sitkongdet (who he trained to a North-eastern Thailand title). Saenchai is now focusing on developing his two young sons, Samaek and Topten, who are just starting to fight on the big shows in Bangkok.
