We close ourselves with ourselves. We want to break free from Sufferings but we always close ourselves with reasons.
เราขังตัวเราไว้กับตัวเราเอง เราอยากหลุดพ้นจากความทุกข์ แต่เรามักปิดกั้นตนเองด้วยเหตุผลต่างๆ

And when we dream to stop the sufferings we always seek outside factors and forget the inside.
และเมื่อเราฝันอยากหยุดความทุกข์ เรามักมองหาปัจจัยจากภายนอกและลืมปัจจัยภายใน

Buddha find the outer peace from inside. He ceases the sufferings with the answers from inside. He ceases the sufferings with the factors from Inside.

ผลงานชิ้นนี้ เริ่มต้นจากความตั้งใจอันเรียบง่าย — ฉันอยากถ่ายทอดภาพของเถาวัลย์สีเขียวที่ค่อย ๆ เลื้อยพันไปท่ามกลางอิฐไม้สักสีแดงอันอบอุ่น เป็นภาพของชีวิตที่ค่อย ๆ เติบโตอย่างสงบ เรียบง่าย และมั่นคง ฉันใช้เทคนิคย้อมสีธรรมชาติและการพิมพ์จากพืช (Eco-print) โดยตั้งใจให้ธรรมชาติเป็นผู้นำทาง ทั้งรูปทรง กลิ่นไอ และสีสัน

แต่ระหว่างที่ฉันกำลังสร้างสรรค์ผลงานนี้ แผ่นดินไหวก็เกิดขึ้น

มันไม่ได้สั่นเพียงแผ่นดินเท่านั้น แต่ยังสั่นสะเทือนลึกไปถึงจิตใจ วัดหลายแห่งพังทลาย เจดีย์เก่าแก่แตกออกเป็นเสี่ยง ๆ อารามที่เคยสงบและศักดิ์สิทธิ์ กลับกลายเป็นซากปรักหักพัง สิ่งเหล่านี้ไม่ใช่แค่สิ่งปลูกสร้าง แต่คือร่องรอยของจิตวิญญาณ ความศรัทธา และวัฒนธรรมที่สืบทอดกันมานับศตวรรษ

บ้าน — ไม่ใช่แค่สิ่งก่อสร้าง แต่คือสถานที่ที่เต็มไปด้วยรัก ความอบอุ่น และความทรงจำ — ล่มสลายลงย่อยยับ ยายร้องไห้ ลูกหาย แม่เสียสติ พ่อล้มตายท่ามกลางเศษซาก

แม้จะเป็นเพียงปรากฏการณ์ทางธรรมชาติ แต่มันได้พัดพาวัฒนธรรมอันยาวนานกลายเป็นฝุ่นธุลี มรดกของมนุษยชาติที่สะสมมาหลายชั่วอายุคน หล่นหายไปราวกับลมหายใจสุดท้ายของบรรพชน

ผลงานชิ้นนี้จึงไม่อาจเป็นแบบเดิมได้อีกต่อไป มือที่เคยสงบกลับสั่นไหวจากความเจ็บปวด ลวดลายที่เคยร้อยเรียงอย่างเป็นระเบียบ กลับกระจัดกระจายไร้ทิศทาง แต่ในความสับสนวุ่นวายนั้น เถาวัลย์ยังคงเติบโต — ไม่ใช่เพราะปราศจากบาดแผล แต่เพราะมันกล้าเติบโตท่ามกลางรอยร้าว

ผลงานชิ้นนี้จึงไม่ใช่แค่ศิลปะอีกต่อไป แต่มันคือคำถวาย คำไว้อาลัย คำอธิษฐาน

ข้าพเจ้าขอถวายผลงานนี้แด่ผู้ประสบภัย — เพื่อเป็นทั้งเครื่องระลึกถึงสิ่งที่สูญเสีย และเป็นสัญลักษณ์แห่งความหวัง ว่าความงดงามของวัฒนธรรมจะไม่ถูกลืม แม้มันจะพังทลาย

ขอให้ผลงานชิ้นเล็ก ๆ นี้ได้ส่งต่อความอบอุ่น บรรเทาความเศร้า และปลอบโยนหัวใจ ให้เงียบสงบได้อีกครั้ง — ดั่งเถาวัลย์ที่ค่อย ๆ แทรกตัวผ่านรอยร้าวของแผ่นดิน ด้วยความรักและความหวัง

**“Ivy Through the Cracks”**

This piece began as — a vision of green ivy gently weaving its way through patterns of red teak bricks. I used natural dyes and eco-printing techniques to bring it to life, shaping each leaf and form with care, imagining the calm, steady growth of nature.

But while it was in progress, the earthquake struck.

It wasn’t just the earth that cracked. Temples crumbled. Ancient stupas split open. Monasteries that stood for generations turned to ruin. These weren’t just structures — they were living memories, holding the voices of monks, prayers whispered through centuries, and the breath of our ancestors. Homes — not just buildings, but places of warmth, love, and stories — collapsed into dust. Grandmothers cried over vanished altars. Children went missing. Mothers screamed with grief. Fathers gave their lives trying to protect what they could. The earth moved, and with it, centuries of heritage shattered in a moment.

This isn’t the loss of one people’s culture. This is a loss for all of us — for humanity. What turned to dust was not just brick and stone, but the spirit of civilization passed down through countless generations.

As I continued this piece, I could no longer follow the same pattern. Hands shook with grief. What was once orderly and calm became scattered, uncertain — yet somehow still alive. The ivy twisted through the broken bricks, growing not despite the damage, but through it. Its path tells a story of pain, yes — but also of survival.

This is no longer a piece of art. This is an offering. With this piece, I hope to honor those we’ve lost, to remember the sacred spaces now gone, and to carry forward even a small piece of the beauty that was buried.

And I humbly wish to contribute this work to those affected — not just to bring warmth or support, but to help keep alive the memory of a culture that belongs not only to us, but to the shared heritage of the world.

May this piece offer comfort, may it spark remembrance — and may it be part of a healing that grows gently, like ivy through the cracks.
