Knowing what to do and why it works is the aim of learning mathematics. Having both procedural and conceptual understanding working together is the goal. How do you develop both, which comes first, and does it matter?
Do you ever wonder why a student ‘doesn’t get it’ no matter how you have tried to present the concept or process or why the explanations that make sense to you don’t make sense to some students?
These are some of the questions we will answer in these workshops.
Mathematics Learning and Teaching for Success is an international professional learning provider based in Australia. We have many years of experience designing and leading professional development. Workshops are continually updated and customized to the audience as the series progresses.

Abigail S. Blair - Growing up, I never had a traditional music class and am so glad for it. I learned music by experiencing it and seeing it modeled through my family's love of music. I've never been able to think inside in the box.... in fact, I'm not sure I was ever issued a "box" because I've never found it!
