Subject: A Small Request to Help Mr. Azor and his Karen Family (Tribe in Chiang Rai)
I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out to share that Mr. Azor and his Karen family, part of the Taweerat Church/Bala Church in Chiang Rai, have been affected by the devastating flood that hit on the 11th of September 2024. The flooding has caused severe damage, and they’re in urgent need of support to rebuild and recover.
If you’re able, any donation, no matter the size, in-kind or in-cash would go a long way in helping them through this difficult time.
For in-kinds, food or clothing, I'm going to send mine this Wednesday through EMS.
Your generosity will make a huge difference. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this message and the fundraiser with others would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness and support!

🛑 NEVER AGAIN, PHILIPPINE AIRLINES 🛑
Flight Details: April 7, 2024, from Bangkok to Manila
We flew from Chiang Mai (11:45am, April 7) to Bangkok (1:20 pm, April 7) with 2 checked in luggage 30kg and 22kg, and we were allowed for 20kg/person, so we bought another 10kg the night before we flew and paid extra 2kg 160 baht/kg, so we don't need to remove what we have in another luggage.
When we arrived in Bangkok, everything was ok and so smooth. Our flight from Bangkok to Manila was 7:10pm and arrived 11:55 pm, April 7, 2024. We checked in the 2 luggage (30kg and 22kg), and we are allowed to check in 30kg/person, so the PAL staff in Bangkok told us if we want to add another luggage to accommodate the 60kg, so we handled them the other luggage with a weigh of 8kg (Samsonite Navy Blue luggage).
When we arrived in Manila, we stuck for almost 30 minutes at the immigration because we didn't know and no one in PAL service told us to make the Mandatory registration to etravel, but with a great help of the Terminal 1 immigration officer we did it and we told them that it was our first time to go back to Philippines after 5 years and no one told us about that.
We went to the baggage claim number 5 and waited for our 3 suitcases: 30kg, 22kg, and 8kg. First luggage came was the 8kg, and Dave picked it up and handled it to me, but when it was in my hand, I noticed that something was wrong. I weighed it by myself by lifted it up with my arm, and I knew that something happened. So, I asked my husband's nail clipper and I cut the cable tie. When I unzipped the zipper and opened my luggage, it was not the same how I packed. Then the Terminal Staff said that bring it to the baggage counter and weigh in there and talk to the PAL Staff.
After we got our 3 checked in luggage, we went there and asked them politely to weigh our luggage and they helped us. I told them that something isn't right and asked their permission to open it in front of them. The 2 big luggage (30kg and 22kg) were the same and intact, but the small one (8kg) wasn't the same. Then when I checked inside, lots of things were missing and showed to the staff some photos that I took while packing and the receipt what I bought, and she asked me the dates when did I purchase it. I gave all the details they want to know. One of the staff who helped me and told me if I want to view the CCTV that time or come back next time, I told her that it happened today (almost past 1am, April 8) and must do the complaint the same day and time. I asked my husband to wait for me at the waiting area while me and her went to Police Station at the 2nd floor then file a case, went to 3rd of 4th floor for CCTV review, and did it for almost 1 to 2 hours and gave me negative result. By the way they told us that maybe it happened in Bangkok, and I said that THAI People are honest and maybe 5% were not and they will not do that because the things we were missing were not expensive and Thai people can buy those things easily. The woman who helped us told me that she's going to send it right away to their head and wait for an email. We agreed that I'm not going to post this matter to any social media as long as they will do actions.
After 3 days, we were so disappointed from the email we got: "Investigation into the handling of your baggage was conducted by our Security Department, however, we regret to inform you that their efforts yielded a negative result. As a precautionary measure, our security personnel conduct body frisking to all baggage handlers before and after attending their respective flights. For your appreciation, please allow us to explain that the airline will never know the contents of a passenger's checked-in baggage unless a prior declaration and payment of valuation charges were made prior to commencement of travel. In this regard, we regret that we cannot act favorably on your claim for the reported missing item."
SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! If we know that this thing will happened, we are going to declare all the things we are going to bring, and we spent for almost 3 hours to settle all the necessary things to do for our case and this what happened, YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING!
