🌍✨ Embracing Global Learning at KMUTT!

We are delighted to share the inspiring story of Mr. Baptiste Hazard from CESI Nancy Engineering School, France, who completed his 4-month research internship at the MOVE Research Center, KMUTT, from June to October 2025.

During his internship, Baptiste worked on research related to electric vehicle batteries, focusing on the development of inspection processes for second-life applications. Through hands-on research, collaboration with Thai students, and cross-cultural exchange, he gained valuable experiences both technically and personally.

“Working with Thai students allowed me to discover a new culture, learn how to communicate and collaborate in an international environment, and step out of my comfort zone.” – Baptiste Hazard

This experience highlights how KMUTT fosters international collaboration and research exchange, giving students from around the world the opportunity to gain practical experience in a global environment. 🌏💡

📢 Q&A (For Students Who Wish to Stay Longer After Finishing the Program at KMUTT)

Q: What should I do if my return flight is scheduled after my NON-ED visa expires?

✅ Option 1: Adjust your return flight to depart on or before your visa expiry date.

✅ Option 2: If your flight can’t be changed and you wish to stay longer, you must change your visa type from NON-ED to a Tourist visa. Here are two options:

1️⃣ Exit and Re-enter Thailand: You can leave Thailand and re-enter under the Tourist visa exemption policy. The length of stay granted will depend on your nationality.

2️⃣ Stay in Thailand: If you cannot leave, consult with the immigration officer to discuss changing your visa status. If additional documents are needed, the KMUTT International Affairs (IA) staff will assist you.

Important Note: Both processes must be confirmed by the immigration officer. We strongly recommend consulting with an officer when extending your visa or during an in-person visit to the immigration office.

After the program ends, students are responsible for their own stay. We suggest you inform your home institution if you plan to stay in Thailand longer.

Stay informed and plan ahead! ✈️

📢 VISA EXTENSION NOTICE

Students must submit the required documents for visa extension at the Immigration Office before the visa expires but not earlier than 45 days. IA Office will provide key documents to assist with the process.

🔹 Important Notes:
✅ Your stay in Thailand can only be extended to cover your study period at KMUTT, with an additional 7-day grace period after your program officially ends. This allows time for departure preparations, but you must leave Thailand before this period expires.

✅ If you overstay beyond your permitted period, you will be fined 500 THB per day. Continued overstays may result in serious immigration penalties.

✅ If you plan to leave Thailand and return during your study period, you must obtain a Re-entry Permit before departure. Without this permit, your visa will be canceled upon exiting Thailand, and you will need to apply for a new visa to re-enter. You can get a Re-entry Permit at the Immigration Office or at the airport before departure, but ensure you have enough time before your flight.
