Thailand World Schools Debate Championships

This year the theme of “Peace, Love, Debate”, has been put forth to encourage the participants to look towards human equality, coexistence with nature, and conflict resolutions by way of the topics and debate motions. There will be 7 preliminary rounds to the Championship, and three separate categories: Open, Novice, and a public speaking competition. The debates cover a wide range of topics, which may include international relations, politics, social issues, economics, political philosophy, and the environment.

THW criminalize practitioners of naturopath

Geopolitics

THBT the international community should cease putting pressure on Aung San Suu
Kyi

THBT it is in US’ best interest to cease all aid to Saudi Arabia until it withdraws
from the war in Yemen

THW shift the focus of the US military from assassinating terrorist group leaders
to capturing and trying them instead

Environment

THW create a centralized world government and a global tax in order to combat global
environmental crises such as climate change, solar flares, mega earthquakes and tsunamis

THW set limits on waste produced by each household, and criminalize excess waste

THW severely tax single-use consumer products
