Drawing on its expertise in the social sciences and public health IPSR Bangkok is conducting a multidisciplinary research study which aims to explain why Thailand did not become an epicentre of the Covid-19 epidemic outside China. A first piece in this project consists of drawing a social history of the early adaptations to the Covid-19 threat that appeared among Chinese tourists present in Thailand in January 2020. IPSR Bangkok is currently providing technical support to Soaids Netherlands and Utrecht University for the programming of a multi-language survey among men who have s*x with men in the Netherlands.
To be more inclusive of men with different cultural backgrounds the national survey will be available in 6 languages: Dutch, English, Arabic,Turkish, Persian and French.
