🤔 If you could immerse yourself in any Thai city tomorrow to practice your Thai skills, which city would you choose and why?

Let's review and practice past tense in Thai together! In Thai, verbs don't change for past tense like in English. Instead, we add time words to indicate that something happened in the past.

Here's the structure: Time words + Subject + verb + Object (if any)

For examples:

1. เมื่อวานผมไปร้านหนังสือ
/mêuua waan pŏm bpai ráan năng-sĕu/
Yesterday, I went to a bookstore.

2. วันก่อนเขากินอาหารไทย
/wan gòn kăo gin aa-hăan tai/
The other day, he/she ate Thai food.

3. อาทิตย์ที่แล้วลูกเกดไปงานบ้านและสวนแฟร์
/aa-tít têe láew Lookkade bpai ngaan bâan láe sŭuan fae/
Last week, Lookkade went to Baanlaesuan fair (Living Festival 2024.)

4. เดือนที่แล้วเขาเรียนขับรถยนต์
/deuuan têe láew kăo riian kàp rót yon/
Last month, he/she learned to drive a car.

5. ปีที่แล้วเราขายบ้าน
/bpee têe láew rao kăai bâan/
Last year, we sold our house.

6. เมื่อคืนฉันดูหนังในเน็ตฟลิกซ์
/mêuua keun chăn doo năng nai nét flík/
Last night, I watch a movie on Netflix.

7. เมื่อเช้าลูกค้าโทรหาผม
/mêuua cháo lôok káa toh hăa pŏm/
This morning, a customer called me.

8. เมื่อกี้แอนสั่งของจากลาซาด้า
/mêuua-gêe Ann sàng kŏng jàak laa-saa dâa/
Just a moment ago, Ann ordered something from Lazada.

9. เมื่อวานซืนเขาไปเดทกับชาวต่างชาติ
/mêuua waan seun kăo bpai dèt gàp chaao dtàang châat/
Yesterday, he/she went on a date with a foreigner.

10. เมื่อก่อนเขาทำงานที่อเมริกา
/mêuua gòn kăo tam ngaan têe à-may-rí-gaa/
Before, he/she worked in America.
