Most people hear “acidic water” and probably think that sounds like something you wouldn’t want anywhere near you.
But the 2.5 Strong Acidic Water from the K8 is actually pretty interesting.
So what is it?
It’s water produced through electrolysis using the enhancer solution, and it contains Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), which has disinfecting properties.
And here’s something I didn’t know when I started looking into it…
Your own body naturally produces Hypochlorous Acid.
Certain white blood cells make HOCl as part of your immune response, where it helps your body deal with invading microorganisms.
So when you hear “Hypochlorous Acid”, don’t automatically think “is this like bleach?”
They’re not the same thing. Bleach is a harsh chemical and it’s pretty toxic to the human body, whereas Hyperchlorous Acid is completely safe and non toxic. Where bleach can only be used for specific applications, Hypochlorous Acid can be for disinfecting surfaces like table tops, kids toys, furniture, it’s not going to irritate your skin when you use it as a mouth wash or hand sanitiser.
That’s what makes this machine so interesting, it’s not just some “filter” or some “alkaliser machine” it goes far beyond that. And the main ingredient is just water!
If you are like me and you are slowly making the switch to a non toxic home, this mode is very useful addition.
And REMEMBER, collect both water streams when using this mode. You are using the Electrolysis Enhancer Solution in this mode, don’t let it go to waste!
