How to tell the time in English!

မင်္ဂလာပါ

ဒီနေ့ မျှဝေပေးမယ့် အကြောင်းအရာလေးကတော့
(အချိန်) နာရီ တွေကို အင်္ဂလိပ်လို ဘယ်လိုပြောကြမလဲ ဆိုတာဘဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်

မြန်မာလို ၁၂ နာရီထိုးဆို အင်္ဂလိပ်လိုက 12 o'clock ပေါ့နော် အဲ့ဒီမှာ o'clock ဆိုတာ of the clock ရဲ့ အတိုကောက်ပါ

ဒါဆို အရင်ဆုံး နာရီနဲ့ ပါတ်သက်တဲ့ အခေါ်အဝေါ်လေးတွေကို ပြောပြမယ်နော်

၀'clock - of the clock ( one o'clock .. ၁ နာရီထိုး)
Quarter (လေးပုံတစ်ပုံ)- 15 မိနစ်
(-- နာရီ ထိုးပြီးဆို a quater past )
( -- နာရီ မထိုး ခင်ဆို a quater to) လို့ သုံးပါတယ်

Half past - နာရီဝက် ( မိနစ် ၃၀) , မြန်မာမှာဆို 'ခွဲ' လို့ သုံး

A.M - ( Latin; ante meridiem ) နံနက်ပိုင်း
P.M - ( post meridiem ) ညနေပိုင်း

ခု အောက်က ပုံလေးနဲ့ စာကိုတွဲပြီ အချိန်တွေကို English လို ပြောကြည့်ကြရအောင်
နာရီ က တဝက် ခြမ်းထားပြီး အရောင်ခွဲထားတာက နာရီ ထိုးပြီးတဲ့ အပိုင်း( past) နဲ့ နာရီ မထိုးခင် အပိုင်း(to ) ကိုမြင်စေချင်လို့ပါ

* 1:05 - ၁ နာရီ ထိုးပြီး ၅ မိနစ် ~ five past one ပေါ့

နာရီ ညာခြမ်း ထိုးပြီး အပိုင်းဆိုတော့ past နဲ့သုံးမယ်
၅ မိနစ် ဆိုတော့ five minutes past one ( five past one) အတိုကောက် တူတူဘဲနော်

* 1:10 - ၁ နာရီထိုးပြီး ၁၀ မိနစ် ~ ten past one

*** 1:15 - ၁ နာရီထိုးပြီး ၁၅ မိနစ် ~ a quater past one

* 1:20 - ၁ နာရီထိုးပြီး ၂၀ မိနစ် ~ twenty past one

* 1:25 - ၁ နာရီထိုးပြီး ၂၅ မိနစ် ~ twenty five past one

*** 1:30- ၁ နာရီထိုးပြီး ၃၀ မိနစ် ~ half past one

ကဲ ဒါဆိုရင် နာရီ ညာဘက်ခြမ်း ( ထိုးပြီး past ) အပိုင်း ပြီးပြီနော် ဘယ်ဘက်ခြမ်း --- နာရီထိုးရန် (to) ကို သွားရအောင်

* 1:35 - ၂ နာရီထိုးရန် ၂၅ မိနစ် ~ twenty five to two

* 1:40 - ၂ နာရီထိုးရန် ၂၀ မိနစ် ~ twenty to two

* *** 1:45 - ၂ နာရီ ထိုးရန် ၁၅ မိနစ် ~ a quater to two

* 1:50 - ၂ နာရီထိုးရန် ၁၀ မိနစ် ~ ten to two

* 1:55 - ၂ နာရီထိုးရန် ၅ မိနစ် ~ five to two

* 2:00 - ၂ နာရီထိုး ~ 2 o'clock

လေ့ကျင့်ကြည့်ကြပါစို့လား

ဒီ ဉပမာပြထားတဲ့ ၁ နာရီ နေရာမှာ ၂,၃,၆,၇,၉ စသည်ဖြင့် ရောက်ရှိနေတဲ့အချိန်ကို အစားထိုးပြောသွားရုံပါဘဲရှင်

အချိန်(နာရီ) ကို အင်္ဂလိပ်လို မေးရင်

What time is it? ( ဘယ်အချိန်ရှိပြီလဲ?)
It is ...three o' clock . . ( ၃ နာရီ ဆို)

What time is it now? ( ခု ဘယ်အချိန်ရှိပြီလဲ? )
It is ..five past five now ... . ( ၅ နာရီ ထိုးပြီး၅ မိနစ်ဆိုရင်)
