An update of our student, Chatsachee Chatpapamon , from Greece

Say “Hi” from Greece, I am Ph.D. student from Carbohydrate Tech. Lab., and I am doing research at Laboratory of Food Chemistry and Biochemistry, Department of Food Science and Technology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece. I choose to intern here due to their experts in field of extraction and encapsulation.

July 2, 2019 was my first day at Lab where I was warm welcomed by Professors and students in field of Food Science. All of them are kind and friendly. In the laboratory, there are many equipment provided for students, thus, it is a good opportunity for me to learn the new techniques at aboard laboratory. My work during internship is the green extraction and encapsulation technique of Ganganal for food application. In the next 5 months, I am planning to learn more techniques and gain as much as possible knowledge regarding to my work. Furthermore, I planning to attend the meeting of Thai people in Greece organized by Thai embassy at Athens.

In addition to Lab activity, I am learning to speak Greek to communicate with students in Lab and people. If I know some of easy words or short sentences, it will very helpful for communication. This is my first-time travelling Europe which is not only travel but study 6 months in Greece that means the big adaptation for different things in my life. However, I hopefully manage time for learning more Greek culture and travelling to beautiful places before going back to Thailand. Finally, I would like to thank RGJ scholarship for internship support.
