แถลงการณ์จากเครือข่ายนักเรียนทุน IFP-Thailand
ขอเรียกร้องสันติภาพจากสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งระหว่างประเทศไทยและกัมพูชา
สมาคมนักเรียนทุน IFP-Thailand มีความห่วงใยอย่างยิ่งต่อสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งและความตึงเครียดที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้นระหว่างประเทศไทยและกัมพูชา เราขอแสดงความเป็นน้ำหนึ่งใจเดียวกับประชาชนที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากความรุนแรง โดยเฉพาะผู้หญิง เด็ก และกลุ่มเปราะบางในพื้นที่ชายแดนที่ต้องเผชิญกับความไม่มั่นคง การพลัดพรากจากบ้านเคยอยู่ อู่เคยนอน และอยู่ท่ามกลางความหวาดกลัว
ในฐานะเครือข่ายที่ยืนหยัดเพื่อสันติภาพ ความเป็นธรรมทางเพศ และการเสริมพลังให้ชุมชน เราขอเรียกร้องให้รัฐบาลไทยและกัมพูชาหยุดการกระทำที่นำไปสู่ความรุนแรงโดยทันที และหันมาใช้กระบวนการเจรจาอย่างสันติเพื่อแก้ไขข้อพิพาท ความขัดแย้งและสงครามมีแต่จะก่อให้เกิดบาดแผลและความทุกข์ทรมานซ้ำซาก
เราขอให้ทั้งสองประเทศเคารพในกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ ยึดมั่นในหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน และใช้แนวทางทางการทูตในการแก้ไขปัญหา พร้อมทั้งขอให้สมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (อาเซียน) และประชาคมโลกมีบทบาทในการประสานและสนับสนุนการเจรจาอย่างสันติ
เราขอเน้นย้ำว่า “สันติภาพ” ไม่ใช่แค่การไม่มีสงคราม แต่คือการมีความยุติธรรม ศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ และการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสันติ เครือข่ายนักเรียนทุน IFP-THAILAND เชื่อมั่นในอนาคตที่ประชาชนไทยและกัมพูชาจะสามารถอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างสมัครสมาน กลมเกลียว และเกื้อกูลกัน
สันติภาพต้องเกิดขึ้นในตอนนี้ เวลานี้คือเวลาของการพูดคุย ไม่ใช่การแบ่งแยก

Statement from The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) Thailand Alumni Network (IFP THAN)
Calling for Peace Between Thailand and Cambodia
IFP THAN expresses grave concern over the ongoing conflict and rising tensions between Thailand and Cambodia. We stand in solidarity with all those affected by violence, particularly women, children, and vulnerable communities living along the border who now face uncertainty, displacement, and fear.
As a network rooted in peacebuilding, gender justice, and community empowerment, we call upon the governments of Thailand and Cambodia to immediately cease all acts of aggression and prioritize peaceful dialogue. War and armed conflict only deepen wounds and perpetuate cycles of suffering.
We urge both nations to respect international law, uphold human rights, and resolve disputes through diplomatic means. We also call on ASEAN and the international community to play an active role in facilitating a peaceful resolution.
Let us remember that peace is not just the absence of war—it is the presence of justice, dignity, and coexistence. IFP THAN envisions a future where Thai and Cambodian communities live together in harmony, cross-border solidarity, and shared prosperity.
Peace must prevail. Now is the time for dialogue, not division.
