In science, we are currently learning about electricity. Yesterday, we learned about the components of simple circuits and how to build basic circuits 💡

Today we learned about nesting shapes. We had to estimate, measure and compare length, height and capacity by making our own 'Russian dolls'.

Welcome back parents!

This week, along with our spelling words and math homework, i have sent home a sight word book. Please practice sight word list 1 and read through the sentences with your child.

On Friday the 31st of March LIS will be having an end of term party and the students will be putting on performances. Year 2 & 3 will be telling us all about Songkran. I have sent home their lines so please practice at home :)

We had a lot of fun at Samui circus studio and the beach on Friday! Year 2&3 students showed us their circus skills in tightrope walking, flower stick juggling, plate spinning, hula hooping, poi spinning and juggling . We then ended off a great day by having lunch, playing and eating ice creams on the beach.

This Friday year 2&3 will be going on a school trip to Samui circus studio followed by a trip to the beach. The trip costs 400 baht, so please pay this by Friday and return the permission from 😊 We ask that students bring: a packed lunch, water, suncream and a hat. All students must wear their uniform. We are looking forward to a fun day out ☺🌞

Lamai International School has been invited to a swimming gala at Oonrak School in Maenam. The gala will be held on Friday March 3rd, 2017. We will be organizing a trip into Chaweng for a swimming practice Wednesday March 1st, 2017.

Permission slips will be given out to students with previous swimming experience tomorrow and we ask that they are returned as soon as possible.

We will be competing against talented swimmers from the International School of Samui and Oonrak school, so I ask that you only have your child participate if they are a competent swimmer. Please inquire at the Admissions Office if you have any further questions.
