เรื่องเล่าห้องเรียน KA
สัปดาห์นี้ เด็ก ๆ ได้เริ่มต้นสำรวจโลกผ่านสื่อมอนเตสซอรี่ โดยการเปรียบเทียบ ลูกโลกที่ 1 (ผืนดินและผืนน้ำ) กับลูกโลกที่ 2 (ลูกโลกทวีป) พร้อมจดจำชื่อทวีปทั้งเจ็ดผ่านบทเพลงอย่างสนุกสนาน เด็ก ๆ ยังได้ลงมือสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ติดปะรูปทวีปด้วยเมล็ดข้าวสารและกระดาษย่น ส่วนพี่ใหญ่สุดของห้องได้ต่อยอดการเรียนรู้ด้วยการ วาดภาพทวีปด้วยตนเอง
นอกจากนี้ เด็ก ๆ ยังได้เปิดโลกให้กว้างขึ้นผ่านแฟ้มทวีปเอเชียและแอฟริกา ได้รู้จักผู้คน สถานที่สำคัญ เทศกาล อาหาร ตลอดจนสัตว์ที่มีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่น ซึ่งช่วยปลูกฝังความเข้าใจในความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมและสิ่งแวดล้อมบนโลกอย่างธรรมชาติ รวมถึงเรียนรู้การเคารพผู้อื่นและความแตกต่าง การอยู่ร่วมกับผู้อื่นได้อย่างมีความสุข
กิจกรรม Practical Life กลุ่ม Pink และ Purple ได้ฝึกการทรงตัวและการทำงานประสานกันของร่างกายผ่านกิจกรรมเดินถือวัตถุและเดินถอยหลังบนเส้นตามจังหวะ ซึ่งช่วยส่งเสริมสมาธิได้เป็นอย่างดี
กลุ่ม Red ได้ท้าทายตนเองกับกิจกรรมปักผ้า เรียนรู้การใช้เข็มอย่างระมัดระวัง ฝึกการร้อยและสอดด้ายตามเส้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการทำงานประสานกันระหว่างมือกับสายตา กิจกรรมนี้นอกจากจะช่วยฝึกความอดทนและการทำงานเป็นลำดับขั้นตอนแล้ว ยังช่วยสร้างความภาคภูมิใจและความ มั่นใจในการพึ่งพาตนเองอีกด้วย
กิจกรรม Sensorial กลุ่ม Pink และ Purple ได้สำรวจเรื่องอุณหภูมิผ่านสื่อ Thermic Tablets โดยใช้มือสัมผัสเพื่อแยกแยะความแตกต่างของวัตถุ
กลุ่ม Red ได้ทำกิจกรรมปิดตาเรียงแท่งไม้ Red Rods จากสั้นไปยาว เป็นอีกหนึ่งประสบการณ์ที่ช่วยแกร่งสมาธิและพัฒนาทักษะการเปรียบเทียบเรียงลำดับของเด็ก ๆ ได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม
This week, Kindergarten A continued exploring our theme, “Continents Around the World,” with a special focus on Asia. The students explored different countries and learned about the people, cultures, traditional foods, landmarks, and flags found across Asia. Through discussions and hands-on activities, the children developed their geographical awareness, vocabulary, listening skills, and appreciation of the diversity of cultures within the continent.
K1 students created paper plate pandas, developing their creativity, fine motor skills, and ability to follow simple steps. K2 students made Chinese dragons, exploring an important cultural symbol while strengthening their cutting, gluing, and creative skills. K3 students delved deeper into Asia by exploring a variety of landmarks, people, traditional foods, cultures, and other interesting features of different Asian countries. They were encouraged to share what they learned and make connections between different places and cultures.
In Practical Life K1 students practised scooping large objects from water using a ladle, strengthening hand-eye coordination, concentration, and control of movement. K2 students practised walking backwards along the line, developing balance, body awareness, coordination, and concentration. K3 students explored weaving, which supported their fine motor coordination, concentration, patience, and ability to follow a sequence of movements.
In Sensorial, K1 students worked with the Touch Tablets, exploring the difference between rough and smooth surfaces. They were able to use the appropriate descriptive terms and particularly enjoyed using the blindfold to identify textures through touch. K2 students worked with the Baric Tablets, exploring the concepts of heavy and light. They were able to compare the tablets and confidently use the appropriate terminology. K3 students worked with the Brown Stair while blindfolded, relying on their sense of touch and memory to arrange the prisms correctly. They thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and demonstrated good concentration and confidence while completing the activity.
As we continue preparing for our upcoming class presentation, K3 students will be taking their scripts home to practise their individual lines. We encourage families to support the children by practising their lines with them at home. Regular practice will help the students become more confident, familiar with their lines, and comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
Overall, the students had an engaging and productive week. They showed enthusiasm for learning about Asia and continued to develop their independence, communication, sensory awareness, coordination, and appreciation of different cultures through meaningful Montessori experiences.
