Bard DNA is a student organization, at Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Queens, composed of student leaders and social justice advocates who are dedicated to educating their community and themselves through events and programming.

DNA and JSU are hosting a joint donation drive event!
This drive will go on for a month (11/20-12/20), collecting winter clothing like jackets, gloves, hats, scarves etc.
Clothing must be:
- In good condition
- Clean
- Put in designated box in front of the DNA Office.

🎃| NIGHTMARE ON BHSEC STREET IS BACK!
WHAT: DNA will be hosting its super duper fun Halloween celebration! **Entry ticket is $2**
WHEN: Thursday in the Cafeteria @ 3:40PM
Similar to last year, we will have activities that include music, arts & crafts and a spooky costume contest.
~~ Those who cannot afford the entry ticket can enter for free if they donate to our donation drive in front of the DNA office.

This afternoon, we experienced the powerful production Freedom Riders: A Journey with No End in Sight at .
Huge thanks to the cast, crew, and everyone who made it possible. The performance was outstanding from start to finish!
Watching our students connect with the story and the performers was truly inspiring. Moments like these remind us why the arts matter.

Today, our students, faculty, and staff wore orange shirts and accessories in a powerful show of solidarity with Indigenous communities.
We came together to honor and remember the countless children who were forcibly removed from their homes and placed in government-funded, church-run residential schools. These institutions were designed to erase Indigenous identity, language, and culture - leaving lasting scars on generations.
We will never forget. We can’t afford to.
Because truth matters. Because healing begins with acknowledgment.
Because every child matters.

On Friday we had a trip to Beat the Bomb! Fellows, faculty, and student staff worked together in groups of 6 trying their best to beat the challenge and not get paint splattered on them . Everyone had so much fun working together and using their teamwork skills to try and escape. Unfortunately no one was able to beat the bomb but congratulations to “bad gyals” for being first place!🎉🥇

Today marked the first day of the 2025 DNA summer program!
Our fellows were introduced to all three of their new humanities classes. They also got a feel for what their community bonding activities and D&D classes will look like over the next three weeks!!!🏫📚
