Headteacher, Respected Members of Administration, Our Dear Patrons, Fellow Stamp Members, Adjudicators, Debaters, Ladies and Gentlemen,
‎Today I stand before you with a heart full of pride and gratitude.
‎I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of the entire Panekar SS Debate Club, to congratulate all of us for the successful completion of our Inter-Class Debate Tournament 2026.
‎To the School Administration, thank you. Thank you for giving us the hall, the time, and the support. You believed that debate is not a waste of time, but a tool to build leaders. Your presence and encouragement gave this tournament meaning. We are grateful.
‎To our Adjudicators, our teachers and senior debaters, thank you. You sacrificed your lessons and your time to sit and judge with fairness. You did not just score us. You taught us. You corrected us. You shaped us. Because of you, every speaker who stood on that stage left a better speaker than they came in.
‎To all the Debaters, from S1 to S4, congratulations. Whether you won or lost, you won something bigger: courage. You stood in front of your class and spoke. You researched. You argued. You took POIs. You failed, you learned, and you came back stronger. That is the spirit of Panekar SS.
‎To the Stamp Members of the Debate Club, my executives, timekeepers, researchers, ushers — thank you. You worked behind the scenes. You printed motions, you kept time, you controlled the hall. This tournament did not run itself. It ran because of your teamwork and discipline.
‎Ladies and Gentlemen,
‎This tournament was successful because it achieved 3 things:
1. ‎It discovered talent. We have seen new voices in S1 and S2 who can become national debaters tomorrow.
2. ‎It built unity. Arts met Science. S3 met S4. For 2 days, we were not competing as classes.We were competing as Panekar.
3. ‎It showed our purpose. "Speak to Lead, Argue to Learn". That is not just a motto!
