Government to Deport Foreigners Working Without Work Permits

The South Sudan government, through its Ministry of Labour, has urged organizations and companies to only employ foreigners with work permits.

In a fresh warning issued by the Ministry, those institutions employing foreigners without work permits may be punished according to the law. In a letter issued by Deng Kenjok, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, all institutions are urged to respect the law.

“Every foreign employee in your workplace must possess a valid work permit issued by the Ministry of Labour,” Kenjok said. He revealed that those who disrespect the law may face many punishments, including deportation.

“The employment of any foreign national without a valid work permit constitutes a serious violation of the law and shall attract severe penalties, including prosecution, fines, closure of establishments, and deportation where applicable,” he said.

How I failed to support Arsenal.

Some years back, I was in love with their attires, more especially their T-shirt. Whenever Arsenal played against Manchester United or Chelsea, I stood firmly with Arsenal, although I didn't intend to fully support their club. People said that his right foot was banned after k!lling a goalie with a hard shot.

I changed my mind later, when we used to play football,with all the other teams represented by fans, except Manchester United which had only one supporter. For me to be able to play, I told the other guys that I wanted to play for Manchester United. They told me not to return to Arsenal, which I agreed.

One day, we played against Arsenal, beating them by 5-1. One frustrated guy went in and brought out my jersey and torn it. I told him to burn that jersey completely, for I would never wear an Arsenal jersey again.

It was five years since we met, I couldn't hold my breath. It's the same face, the same face that shone on that Friday night; people don't easily get old.

A day before we met, on Thursday, 15th January, I received a letter from Aduoljith, inviting me for a birthday party that was scheduled to take place in the outskirts of the city. At the hotel, the security guard asked me to show him my invitation card, which he did.

"Are you a comedian?" he asked me after he thoroughly scanned me with his eyes.

"No." I said.

" I just want to know your role, because most of the people invited here are all dignitaries. I think you have a different role you are invited for. "

" Please allow me in, aren't you convinced that I have an invitation card? "

" F**k off! " he said.

I was about to get angry, but I convinced myself, because a little punch would break my ribs.
