Clever Origin High School Alumni Association

Let’s call this what it is: academic poaching. Some schools spend years building students—teaching them, disciplining them, carrying them through S.1 to S.3. Then, in S.4, other schools swoop in with false promises, recruit those students, and turn around to take credit for results they did not earn.

This is misleading to parents. It’s unfair to the schools that did the real work. And it’s harmful to education as a whole, because it rewards shortcuts instead of genuine investment in students.

We are demanding an end to this practice. Schools must compete by building their own students from the foundation up, not by intercepting them at the finish line. The public deserves honesty, and students deserve better than to be treated like trophies.
