Welcome to the Chemistry lesson 2.

The atomic structure.

An atom is the smallest particle of an element that takes part in a chemical reaction. Atoms of different elements react to form compounds. They do so due to the fact that atom exists.

There are particles in an atom called 𝓢𝓾𝓫-𝓪𝓽𝓸𝓶𝓲𝓬 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓲𝓬𝓵𝓮𝓼. These are protons and neutrons found at the centre of an atom-the nucleus, the other is the electrons found surrounding the nucleus.
The neutrons are neutrally charged subatomic particle of an atom. The protons are positively charged particles while the electrons are negatively charged particles. They are founding moving in their orbits called energy levels ( quantum shells).
The electrons at the outermost quantum she'll of an atom determine the chemical properties of an element.

With this, you have partially known what atom is made up of being electrons, protons and neutrons.
