South Sudan Science Academy (SSSA) Second Cohort Alumni Celebration
The South Sudan Science Academy (SSSA) sincerely thanks the Almighty God for His guidance, blessings, and protection throughout the preparation and successful conclusion of our Second Cohort Alumni Celebration.
The occasion was a great success, bringing together 67 scholars and guests to celebrate academic achievement, mentorship, and the continued growth of SSSA.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Dhieu Gabriel Atem, Chairman of the Makerere University South Sudanese Students Association (M***A), and his team, Ms. Akut Majak Ngueny, Founder of Learn Lead-Thrive Initiative, and Mr. G*i Mayen, Co-Founder of Teens Strive Initiative, and his team for honoring our invitation. We also appreciate the Third Cohort Scholar Representatives for joining the celebration and representing the next generation of SSSA scholars.
Our gratitude goes to Mawien Piol, Gatchang Luk, Marial, and all our colleagues and friends who showed up and contributed to making the occasion memorable.
Special recognition goes to Mr. Fhok Ruot Champi( Fhök Rüöt Chämpï) , Ground Coordinator, whose exceptional mobilization, coordination, ideas, and tireless efforts were instrumental to the success of the event. We equally appreciate the leadership and support of our Chairman, Mr. Halpiny Mathiang Majuc.( Ustaz Halpiny)
We deeply appreciate our Founder, John Alier Abolich Chol( John Alier) , who travelled from Germany to witness the occasion personally. His generous commitment of UGX 2,000,000 ( $600) towards the upcoming Scholarship and Mentorship Program for the Second Cohort, together with his commitment to the resumption of the Third Cohort Teaching Program, is greatly appreciated. We also thank his colleagues in Germany whose contributions played an important role in making the event possible. A special recognition to the cofounder Universal Child Empowerment Geu Alier Bheer( Geu Alier Bheer Geu), Majok Samuel, Ngoth Peter Anyang, Deng Ayuen Ajith and many other colleagues who sacrificed their own personal resources to witness the occurrence of this event.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Mr. Guor Deng Palek, Global Executive Coordinator; general secretary Mr. Garang Joseph Thuch, Executive Board Member Mr. Simon Deng Atem for their important contributions and support.
Above all, we celebrate our Second Cohort Scholars, who were the main celebrants. Their hard work, discipline, and academic achievements are the foundation upon which this celebration was built.
To everyone who contributed through their presence, resources, ideas, mobilization, mentorship, and encouragement, we are sincerely grateful. This success belongs to the entire SSSA family.
May God continue to bless SSSA, our scholars, mentors, supporters, and all those committed to advancing education and opportunities for young people.
