Upto now, it is still hard to believe that there could be corrupt youth leaders in a young nation like South Sudan. Youth leaders are meant to be the torchbearers of integrity, hope, and change, yet the existence of corruption within their ranks makes the future of our country seem so opaque and uncertain. A youth leader who indulges in corruption betrays not only the trust of the people but also the very purpose of leadership.
Sadly, corruption in South Sudan appears to operate openly, unlike in other parts of the world where it is condemned and abolished. Instead of being ashamed of such practices, some leaders boldly display them, normalizing a destructive culture. This deeply weakens the credibility of our leadership structures and dims the light of progress that young people are supposed to shine for the nation.
When given responsibilities, instead of serving the people selflessly, some leaders first think of their stomachs and families. Only after securing their personal interests do they turn—half-heartedly, to the tasks entrusted to them. This selfish approach cripples development and destroys unity, leaving the community with broken trust and little to hope for. True leadership calls for sacrifice, accountability, and service to all, not self-enrichment at the expense of the people.

The Burden of Beauty: Navigating Society's Expectations
We discuss how being born beautiful can be a burden, as society often sees beauty as a product rather than a person. The world admires beautiful people, but may not truly understand them or see their soul. Beauty is seen as a silent contract that the individual never signed, and they become a trophy for others to display. This can lead to feeling like an invisible auction, where people appraise and bid on their appearance rather than who they are. The pressure to be soft, silent, and pleasing can prevent beautiful people from being able to express themselves fully, and they may be labeled as arrogant or ungrateful if they don't fit the mold. Admiration is not the same as love, and desire is not the same as care.
