Re: Care medical college head office has decided officially to close Abyei special administrative area- CMC branch due to politicization, misleading & allegations made by Director general in the ministry of health - Abyei special administrative area.

CARE medical college would like to issue this statement in response to false and misleading
claims attributed to the Director General for the Ministry of Health - Abyei Special
Administrative Area.

CMC is a private medical college duly registered under the laws of the Republic of South Sudan
including the Companies Act, 2012 with registration number: COY-M8SEW6 on 14-1-2025
therefore, The College is a lawful entity and is registered as a health sciences institute with the
relevant national authorities.

CMC began the process of accreditation on 5-5-2024 and was registered with the National Ministry
of Health on 4 February 2026 under registration number NMOH/HSI: Private - 016 & certificate
of membership from national health professionals: NHPEB/025/MC/2026 through the
Directorate of Training and Professional Development.

CMC has submitted the list of teaching staff to the ministry of health- Abyei special
Administrative Area for the Abyei branch. Our tutors at CMC branch in Abyei special
administrative area include qualified doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other degree holders
competent to teach within the scope of an accredited health sciences institute. Claims that the
College has no qualified staff that are inaccurate & misleading.

The allegation that no one can teach internal medicine reflects a misunderstanding of the
difference between a university and a health sciences institute. CMC operates under an approved
health sciences curriculum issued by the National Ministry of Health.

Our medical ultrasound students have commenced hands on practical training on ultrasound machine under the supervision of Dr. Kuany, Dean of ultrasonography and Director of Ultrasound at the National Ministry of Health.

This practical session will strengthen students’ diagnostic skills through supervised scanning, live demonstration and guided practice.

Our newly admitted students of June 2026 have begun continuous assessment tests and will commence clinical attachments at various hospitals in the coming weeks.

We wish them success in their examinations and safe, productive clinical placements as they advance in their medical training.

To newly applicants who missed orientation, your colleagues were issued admission letters, the rules & regulation booklets.

Lectures commence on 14-8-2026 at munuki branch & Gurei main campus as well and qualified candidates are given only 7 days to get their lab coats and medical scrubs since students aren't allowed to attend lectures without lab coats or medical scrubs.

However, any students who did not attend today's orientation or might haven't received admission forms must report to the Office of the academic registrar as soon as possible.

It's also an opportunity for those who missed the application deadline to use 7 days left for collection of application forms & admission before 14/8/2026
