In this community, those who are less than 1.80 meters tall are considered short. It is common to see individuals taller than two meters walking through the streets. A notable fact is that Manute Bol, one of the tallest players in NBA history, came from this region and reached a height of 2.31 meters. Beyond their stature, the Dinka are known for their rich cultural heritage and pastoral traditions, where livestock play a vital role in their daily lives.

In South Sudan, opponents of President Salva Kiir want him to send back to parliament a recently passed bill over concerns it will give state security agents too much power. Critics of the bill say it will allow the National Security Service to arrest and detain suspects without a warrant, thereby stifling dissent from the opposition and civil rights activists.

South Sudan’s main opposition party, the SPLM-IO, and various civil rights activists, have united to oppose the security bill.

The party’s deputy chairperson, Oyet Nathaniel, expressed dismay over the rushed passage of the bill, despite calls to revise certain sections beforehand.

in 2015 Uganda and South Sudan decided to have a drinking competition. A week before the competition, the Ugandans sent Mr Kyagulanyi to South Sudan to confirm if the competition will be held. On arrival, the people of South Sudan brought 20Ltrs of their strongest brewed beer. Kyagulanyi asked if he could taste and he was permitted to. Instead of just tasting, he finished the 20Ltrs at once, and said ''This is ok 😁... Now where is the main beer?'' People were all shocked because nobody had ever taken more than 2Ltrs of this beer and stood breathing!Then they asked him, 'Are you among the competitors? Kyagulanyi said, 'Me? Nooooo!
