Today we celebrate the woman who practises lesson planning long before any school timetable exists: the mother.
She is the first voice that teaches a child to say โpleaseโ and โthank you.โ The first hand that steadies a pencil. The first reader of a bedtime story, the first encourager after failure, the first person to say โtry againโ when the world suggests quitting. Long before a child meets a classroom, they have met a teacher who is patient, persistent, and fiercely loving.
who iron uniforms at midnight and still listen to homework recitals the next morning; who find time to pack a note in a childโs bag and a prayer in their heart โ we see you. Your work is invisible and indispensable.
This Motherโs Day, let us honour the ways mothers shape learning:
* For the everyday lessons โ manners, resilience, curiosity โ that last longer than any syllabus.
* For the small routines โ reading together, counting change at the market, telling family stories โ that build confidence and identity.
* For the fierce care โ the calls to teachers, the follow-ups, the sleepless nights โ that keep children steady when systems wobble.
A small request to school owners and teachers: celebrate her well. A sincere thank-you, a respectful invitation to participate, and genuine support for the challenges she faces will mean more than any grand gesture. Practical kindness โ flexible meetings, clear communication, and visible appreciation โ honors the partnership you both share.
To every mother reading this: you are teaching when you think you are merely loving. Your classrooms may be kitchens, bedrooms, markets, or early-morning commutes โ and in each, you are shaping a learner.
Happy Motherโs Day. Thank you for the quiet, daily work of building tomorrow.
Tag a mother who deserves to be honoured today.
Happy mother's day ๐๐

WORKERS' DAY: RECOGNIZING THE TEACHER AS THE ENGINE OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT!
Workersโ Day, observed globally on May 1st, is more than a public holiday. In the educational system, it represents a moment to reflect on the value of human capital and the indispensable role of teachers in shaping society.
WHAT WORKERS' DAY REPRESENTS IN EDUCATION:
Education is labour-intensive. Behind every literate citizen, skilled professional, and informed voter is the unseen work of a teacher. Workersโ Day therefore serves as a reminder that:
1. Schools run on human effort โ Curriculum delivery, mentorship, discipline, and character formation all depend on the daily commitment of teachers and non-teaching staff.
2. National progress is classroom-dependent- No sector grows without education. Engineers, doctors, and leaders all pass through a teacherโs hands first.
3. Educational quality mirrors workforce value- When teachers are motivated and supported, learning outcomes improve across the nation.
WHAT WORKERS' DAY MEANS TO TEACHERS:
For teachers, May 1st is both symbolic and sobering. It celebrates their contribution yet highlights persistent gaps: understaffing, heavy workloads, limited professional recognition, and remuneration that often fails to match their societal impact. Many classrooms remain overcrowded, with one teacher doing the work of three.
AN APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT:
As we commemorate Workersโ Day, we respectfully urge the government to:
1. Employ more qualified teachers โ Reduce teacher-to-student ratios to improve individual attention and learning quality.
2. Involve teachers in policy decisions โ Teachers are frontline implementers of education policy. Their input should shape curriculum reviews, school reforms, and resource allocation.
3. Review and improve remuneration โ Competitive salaries, prompt payment, and welfare packages will attract and retain talent. A nation that underpays its teachers undervalues its future.
Teachers do not just work for a living; they work for the nationโs future.
On this Workersโ Day, let us move beyond tributes and take concrete steps to honour the profession that builds all other professions.
INVEST IN TEACHERS. STRENGTHEN EDUCATION. SECURE TOMORROW.
HAPPY WORKERS' DAY!

Teachers are more than workers โ they are builders of futures, shapers of minds, and silent heroes of every society.
This Workersโ Day, we celebrate every teacher who wakes up early, stands for hours, explains with patience, sacrifices comfort, and gives their best so others can succeed.
Behind every doctor, engineer, leader, and dreamer, there is a teacher who believed in them first.
To all teachers: your hard work may not always be loudly praised, but your impact speaks every day through the lives you change.
Happy Workersโ Day to the hearts that educate, inspire, and never give up. The world works better because of you.
