*Brief History of Nuer people*

These people are descendants of Geah and Gueh Gaw Ran Hou Kuoth. Any nation whose history is not written is at the peak of a downward spiral with regard to its destiny, dream and direction. There is Nuer historical outline below each with brief descriptions.

*History of Nuer Nation (c. 5000 to 1000 BCE)*

It was around 5000 BCE when Naath gathered at Tharjaith lei in a dense watery swamp land whose size was not less than a few kilometers. Children of Gaw Ran call themselves Naath a word that means people, so they call themselves Nuer later after the establishment of the Nguot. This Nation of Naath expanded from a few kilometers from the center to different directions which later in the 18th century stretched its boundaries to eastern Nuer. Surrounding the Mun-Nath, there were different Nilotic peoples such as the Dinka, Anyuak and Shilluk Kingdoms. Nilotic group of nations separated earlier before they could reach Lake Chad. There were also Afroasiatic peoples such as Cush*te and Bantus. However, Nuer people began their journey of a homogenous Nation before the scrambling of Africa in 1884. They fought several wars which won them a legacy as they won most of those wars. From 5000 to the first millennia BCE Nuer myth and narrative of creation began.
