The Transitional National Legislative Assembly has passed the National Examination Council (Amendment) Bill 2026.

The new law makes the National Examination Council an autonomous institution, separate from the Ministry of General Education and Instruction.

It also provides for stronger funding to improve the preparation, administration and marking of national examinations.

Lawmakers say the law is intended to reduce examination leakages, strengthen the credibility of the examination system, and improve the distribution of examination materials across the country.

Position: English & CRE Teacher– 1 Position

Job Summary:
Jada Jedid Nursery and Primary School seeks a qualified, experienced, and committed teacher to teach both English and Christian Religious Education CRE across primary classes.

Requirements:
1. Diploma or Degree in Education with English and CRE as teaching subjects
2. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a recognized school
3. Strong communication skills, discipline, and Christian values

Meet Muor Yor Deng: Headboy Candidat

Today we proudly feature Muor Yor Deng, one of the strong candidates for the position of Headboy at Jada Jedid Nursery and Primary School.

Muor was outstanding and confident during today’s open-air campaign. He addressed fellow learners with clarity, composure, and conviction, which set him apart.

Muor believes in *achievable promises, not empty words*. He is contesting to serve his fellow pupils by creating a school environment built on *respect, unity, and discipline*.

He also sees the Headboy role as a bridge. He says he will be the voice that connects pupils with teachers, ensuring that learners’ concerns are heard and solutions are found together.

With his confidence, practical vision, and spirit of service, Muor represents the kind of leadership that inspires trust.

Meet Mawein Machar; one of today’s brave candidates for Headboy at Jada Jedid Nursery and Primary School!

Mawein’s story is powerful. In 2023 he moved from the cattle camp to the classroom. With hard work and focus, he found his place in school and grew fast.

Today, he stood confidently to contest for headboy with one clear belief: “Leadership is about service, not power.”

For Mawein, being a leader means helping fellow pupils, solving problems, and making school better for everyone.

From cattle to classroom, and now to leadership — Mawein’s journey shows that with courage and purpose, anything is possible.

Democracy in Action at Jada Jedid!

What an amazing day at Jada Jedid Nursery and Primary School!

Our learners got to practice democracy first-hand by voting for their school leaders. Candidates stood boldly, shared their manifestos, and told fellow pupils how they plan to make our school better.

We were so proud to see how *confident and convincing* many of them were. They spoke clearly, with great ideas about unity, discipline, and teamwork.

Today wasn’t just about winning votes. It was about teaching our children that every voice matters and that good leadership starts young.

Well done to all our young leaders and voters! The future of South Sudan is in good hands.
