Dear National Ministry of Education and Instructions,

I am hereby writing this piece of message as heartfelt appreciation to the National Ministry of General Education and Instructions especially to Hon. Awut Deng Achuil, Minister, for improving the quality of South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) examination, starting in 2023.

The public, parents, schools and the candidates for the 2023 CSE, are worried about outcomes of the long awaited results. The delay in marking and releasing the results for 2023 CSE examination up to this time is evolving public crisis.

I urge the Ministry and National Education Cluster (if it exists) to initiate a meeting to discuss the way forward for immediate resource mobilization. The funds shall help the Ministry to complete marking and associated costs for 2023 CSE examination.
It is our responsibility to keep the straight and consistent academic path and careers for our 2023 CSE candidates.

I hope the schools and education cluster partners understood the economic decline that has befallen the people, private sector and government finances and funding in all sectors.

I wish the Ministry would look into the 2023 CSE examination marking bottlenecks.

The national ministry of general education and instruction has released the academic calendar 2024 which commence on 5th February 2024 and end on 20 December 2024.

Term one
Start: 5th February 2024
End: 10th May 2024

Term two
Start: 27th May 2024
End: 10th September 2024

Term three
Start: 23rd September 2024
End: 20th December 2024

All schools are asked to cover all syllabus within the academic calendar.

Registration starting on January 03, 2024.
