Final Revised Accelerated Secondary Secondary Education Program (ASEP) Student Selected Criteria.
This revised selection criteria for the ASEP learners was developed jointly by Pathways to Empowerment from youth in South Sudan (P2E) consortium partners which include representative from South Sudan Ministry of General Education and Instruction (MoGEI), the Directorate of Alliance Education System (AES) and Secondary Education. The criteria aim to strengthen the selection process of ASEP learners by appropriately placing learners in the correct ASEP program levels based on their previous academic backgrounds and to prevent children/learners of formal school-age from taking shortcuts.
To be accepted into the ASEP program, students must fulfil the following requirements.
1. ASEP students must have completed and passed primary 8 in South Sudan or an equivalent level of education in another country and be able to provide the official primary leaving certificate as evidence, as this be a requirements for registration for South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE).
2. ASEP student applicants are required to submit application letter to the ASEP Centre Lead Tutor detailing their motivation and Interest in the ASEP.
3. Applicants must be adults aged between 15-35 who have been out of formal schooling.
4. Disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals including young mothers and those involved in doing petty businesses to support their families should be prioritised.
5. They must pass the ASEP entry test with pass mark before studying the ASEP subjects.
6. Should there be too many applicants who meet these criteria the priority should be given to female applicants.
7. Students who are already benefiting from other interventions should be verified to avoid duplication.
8. Applicants who completed level 5, verifiable in a progress report card, in the past ASEP and wish to proceed to level 6 should pass the placement test of level 6.

BREAKING: Ministry of General Education and Instructions โreleased' 2021/2022 Secondary Examination results.
South Sudan Examination council have today released the results of Certificate of Secondary Education this saturday.
The total of 32,437 students from 340 schools sat for the exams countrywide. Among the candidates, 21,128 were males and 11,309 females. According to the ministry, The number of candidates dropped by 5.9% compared to the last academic year, 2020/2021.
Among the states that performed best include Jonglei State and Central Equatoria, with 76.48 and 74.93 percent respectively. Additionally, from the top five best performing states are Eastern Equatoria State, Lakes State and Unity State.
All top 10 students are Jonglei State and Central Equatoria State.

Meanwhile, the 10th position has been contended by three other candidates who scored the 92.7%.

According to the examination results analysis, science subjects were the worst performed, while additional mathematics saw BR improvement.
