I fully and unreservedly support the President’s stance in urging citizens to place peace and the interests of the South Sudan above personal or political ambition. In every season of leadership, especially during critical moments in our history, what our country needs most is selfless dedication, unity, and the courage to choose the greater good over individual gain.
Nationalism and patriotism should not be mere words, but living values that guide every decision and action, whether by leaders, citizens, or institutions. True patriotism means protecting the peace we have, healing divisions, and building bridges that unite all our people, regardless of tribe, region, or political leaning.
Whichever position or office one holds, be it in government, civil service, community leadership, or private life, it is a sacred duty to serve with integrity, humility, and loyalty to the Republic of South Sudan. Every role matters. Every effort counts. Leadership is not about power, it’s about people.
Let us all rise above personal interests and commit ourselves to the vision of a united, peaceful, and prosperous South Sudan. A future where every child can dream, every youth can thrive, and every citizen can live in dignity.
The time to act in unity is now. The call to put South Sudan first is for all of us.

A Call to Africans: Protect Our Priceless Heritage
Africa is not for sale. It is a priceless inheritance, a gift entrusted to us by our ancestors and a sacred responsibility we owe to our children and future generations. The wealth of this continent is not measured only in its natural resources, but in its people, its cultures, its histories, and its boundless potential.
The challenges we face today are not because Africa is poor or weak. Africa is rich, but we have been held back by greed, ignorance, division, poor leadership, and self-interest. Our continent is not small or powerless. It is great, but we have allowed hatred, negligence, and shortsighted decisions to undermine its promise.
Now is the time to change course. We must stop selling our land, our resources, and our dignity for temporary gain. Let us rise above personal interest and commit to what truly matters: building an Africa that we can proudly hand over to our children. An Africa where its wealth serves its people. An Africa that stands united, strong, and self-reliant.
Own Africa,
Protect Africa,
Build Africa.
The future is in our hands. Let us choose wisely.

Wishing all South Sudanese, both at home and in the diaspora, a peaceful and reflective 42nd Liberation Day Anniversary. May the 16th of May stand as a powerful reminder of our shared history, the sacrifices made, and the enduring hope that unites us as a nation.
On this day 16th May, 1983, a defining chapter in our struggle for freedom began when courageous sons and daughters of South Sudan rose in pursuit of justice, equality, and self-determination. The formation of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A), under the visionary leadership of Dr. John Garang de Mabior, marked the onset of a long and arduous journey toward independence. Their unwavering commitment and sacrifice laid the foundation for the birth of the Republic of South Sudan in 2011.
This Day is not only a commemoration of past triumphs but also a solemn call to uphold and advance the core objectives of the liberation struggle: national unity, equality, human dignity, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.
As we honor this historic day, we must also reflect on our present and strive to resolve the internal conflicts that continue to hinder our progress. The true legacy of our heroes will be realized only when we replace division with dialogue, conflict with reconciliation, and hatred with harmony.
May this anniversary renew our collective spirit and inspire us to work together, across all communities and regions, to build a peaceful, united, and prosperous South Sudan, where the dreams of our liberators are brought to life through the strength and unity of our people.
