Benjamin Lion Chol a teacher from Ciec Manyiel Community in Yirol East County, has been making significant strides in the fight against illiteracy rates in Ciec community. His tireless efforts and dedication to education have not gone unnoticed, as he was recently awarded the title of "Best Teacher of the Year 2023 to 2024" by Adior Payam Press (APP).

Chol's journey began when he recognized the need for quality education in his community. He saw that many children were dropping out of school due to a lack of interest and resources, and he knew he had to do something about it. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands and started teaching these children himself.

His approach was simple yet effective. He focused on making learning fun and engaging for his pupils/students. He used interactive methods like games and group activities to keep them interested and motivated. He also provided them with the necessary resources like textbooks and writing materials, which many of them couldn't afford.

Chol's hard work and dedication have paid off. Today, he has managed to reduce the illiteracy rate in his community significantly. Many of his former pupils/students have gone on to pursue higher education and are now contributing positively to their society.

Chol's award by APP is a testament to his remarkable achievements. It serves as an inspiration to others who are fighting similar battles in their communities. His story is a reminder that one person can make a difference, and that education is the key to unlocking a brighter future for all.
