‎Today, Ayii University proudly celebrates a historic milestone as our pioneering MBBS candidates successfully defend their research projects. This achievement crowns years of rigorous preparation and fulfills our compulsory requirement that every student must conduct and publish research before graduation.
‎
‎These students, the first cohort of medical students, have persevered through six demanding years of study, sacrifice, and discipline. Their research journey was guided by professors with many years of expertise, who provided thorough internal supervision. In addition, each project was subjected to the scrutiny of external research experts, who rigorously critiqued and qualified the work ensuring that our graduates meet the highest standards of academic excellence.

‎We extend our deepest gratitude to the Research Department and Community Health faculty for piloting this initiative and embedding research and innovation at the heart of our mission.

‎This moment is more than an academic milestone it is a beacon of perseverance, a triumph of knowledge, and a legacy of hope. Together, we affirm that education is not only a path to personal success but a force for transforming society and building a better world.

The students of Ayii University were oriented yesterday on admissions requirements for undergraduate programmes as stipulated in the new admission guidelines 2024-2025 of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology -Republic of SouthSudan

Accordingly, entry into Ayii University is in two ways;

1. Through general admissions organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology where applicants can pick and submit their application forms with their academic credentials at designated centers that were nominated by the Ministry.

2. Through direct admissions. Applicants can apply directly to Ayii University by picking application forms and submitting them back to Ayii University academic with department with authenticated credentials after filling the forms. The University will then compile and submit the credentials of all the applicants to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology for obtaining national index numbers by March for the ongoing applicants for the academic year 2026/2027.

Nevertheless, academic credentials of continuing students who applied directly to Ayii University before this current intake shall be submitted for national indexing by May to Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology.

Ayii University has waived the tuition fees for one student as a gesture of appreciation to a devoted parent who has sponsored several students since our degree programs began. This was announced today during a meeting at the Chancellor's office.

Prof. Dr. Isaac Ayii Ayii, the Chancellor of Ayii University expressed gratitude to the parent on behalf of the University and pledged a continued collaboration with Mr. Kasule Suleiman Yata, who is the proprietor of Hai Mauna Medical Complex. The Chancellor also assured the proprietor of the readiness of Ayii University to partnering with the Medical Complex for capacity building and other areas of mutual interest.

Ayii University Charts a Bold Path Forward: First Staff Meeting of 2026 After National Council for Higher Education Accreditation

‎Ayii University convened its first staff meeting of the new year 2026 under the leadership of Chancellor Prof. Isaac Ayii Ayii, marking a historic milestone following the institution’s official accreditation by the National Council for Higher Education through the National Minister of Higher Education, Republic of South Sudan.

‎The meeting brought together the university’s academic and administrative leadership, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Justin Deng (DVC) for Academic Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Amos Anguzu (DVC) for Administration and Finance), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stephenson (Dean of Students Affairs), Dr. Ayii Guet (University Administrator), Sr. Ngenjeng (Academic Registrar), professors of various faculties, teaching assistants, clinical staff, and other supportive staff.

‎In his keynote address, the Chancellor:
‎1. Commended staff achievements, recognizing their dedication and hard work in meeting national accreditation standards.
‎2. Unveiled the Strategic Plan (2026–2030), focusing on institutional growth, academic excellence, and infrastructure development.
‎3. Announced priority projects, including the Ayii University Diagnostic Center, Dissection Laboratory for medical students, and expansion of lecture halls to accommodate rising enrollment.
‎4. Emphasized the establishment of the Ayii University Teaching Hospital, designed to train South Sudanese health professionals and strengthen national healthcare capacity.
‎5. Reaffirmed staff motivation and welfare as a top priority, ensuring financial stability and improved quality of life for employees and their families.
‎
‎Prof. Ayii urged all staff to take collective ownership of the strategic plan, stressing that its success depends on shared commitment and good faith.
‎He positioned Ayii University as a pillar of higher education and healthcare advancement in South Sudan, dedicated to producing well-trained professionals capable of transforming the nation’s health sector.

Today the University top management have passed the establishment of School of Business and Entrepreneurship. This came into force as the Curriculum validation workshop was conducted by the team led by Prof. Akim Ajieth Bunny. We thank and appreciate the curriculum committee and all the contributors.
