𝐉𝐔𝐁𝐀, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — The President of the Republic, His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit, has officially opened the Inter-Party Dialogue on Election-Related Matters in Juba, bringing together political parties and key national stakeholders to address critical electoral matters ahead of South Sudan’s general elections scheduled for December 2026.
The dialogue, held at the National Assembly Hall, brought together representatives of political parties, members of the caretaker government, former Vice Presidents, diplomats, religious leaders, civil society representatives and other national and international stakeholders.
Among the foreign dignitaries attending the opening were former Burundian President Domitien Ndayizeye and the President of the Community of Sant’Egidio, Marco Impagliazzo.
