Easter Message from the Principal of ABUN Academy Nursery, Primary, ALP and Secondary School
Christ has risen! Indeed he has risen
Dear all staff of ABUN Academy on my behalf and on behalf of all shareholders of ABUN Co.Ltd I would like to wish you happy Easter and your beloved families, may the risen Lord who asked Ezskiel to prophesy to the dry bone to live again restore your hopes despite economic difficulties serrounding our working environment, I emphasize hope will be restored in name of the risen Lord who overcame the power of sin and death. Ezekiel 37: 1-11.
Remember as ABUN Academy staff, our mission is not just to teach but live by example; transform, empower and assign responsibilities by transforming our own students to leaders, our mission is to ensure mindset change of our society is fully transformed , and we are the right tools, we are the right agents of change where ever we happen to be.
We are also mandated to live by our end result( vision); to produce competent, resourceful, innovative, creative, patriotic, God fearing and law abiding citizens.
Easter is not just an event to celebrate, it is the essence of our deeply rooted-faith in the power of the living Saviour who conquered sin and death, that victory is the reason why we exist today as Christ followers and bearers of his everlasting message.
I congratulate you all for perserving our school motto and by translating it on your day to day routine;Commitment, Attitudes and Academic performance.
I would also like to congratulate the Head teacher of Secondary School Ustaz Lege Philip Wani for making sure that our laid out blue print is followed; system development; he made sure that all staff receive their sallaries through banking system. On the area of Teachers professional Development I would like to thank our Technical advisor Ustaz Alou Deng Ngong for sending 4 ABUN Academy teachers to Kafuri (TTI), Teachers Training Institute. On the institutional development, I give vote of appreciation to Ustaz Maluac Ariik Awur Makurdit for making sure that ABUN Academy Nursery, Primary and ALP is institutionally well organized and the enrollment has reached the outstanding rate compared to our worst case scenario during our initial planning stage which estimated the expected ABUN Academy Nursery, Primary and ALP to 150 pupils/ learners, now the number has reached over 800 pupils/ALP learners. Before concluding would like to give appreciations to ABUN Academy media team who left no stone unturned, your efforts culiminated to these great enrolment in both Nursery, Primary and Secondary school, my thanks goes to our Director(s) of studies, Ustaz Johnson Makur for playing a vitol role in the recruitment of the best science teachers at the level of Central Equatoria as a result Science class is now divided into two streams and is likely to be divided into more streams in term( II), to Ustaz Chan Thomas Deng, thank you for your great role in making sure that all text books of Primary and the visual aides for the nursery classes were availed on time. Thanks to our able nursery teachers Gladys and Makerina for the excellent performance. I thank all teachers without exception. I do not forget to appreciate our support staff( Cooks, watchmen and cleaners) you are all the reason behind our success.
Let us continue to impact changes in our families, our communities and beyond, let us continue to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world as commanded by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, be to him all the glory and praises. Happy Easter to all.
