We are proud to share that our Executive Director of Greenbelt Academies and Founder of Education Bridge, Ngor Majak Anyieth, recently attended the Better Future Forum in Singapore.

During the forum, he joined passionate educators from different parts of the world to discuss the future of education and how we can better prepare young people for tomorrow.

Reflecting on the experience, Mr. Ngor shared that learning globally helps us improve the work we do locally. He also emphasized that academic excellence alone is not enough. Young people need skills, values, creativity, and confidence to succeed in the future.

At Greenbelt Academies, we remain committed to providing education that prepares learners not only for exams, but for life.

‎I write to inform you all that our second term classes will start on Monday 18 May 2026.
‎All boarding students are required to report to boarding on Sunday 17 May 2026 by 5:00 pm with at least 50% fees payment. Whoever will not make it shall inform the office concerned and be accompanied by parent/guardian on his/her reporting date but not more than two days from the opening.
‎
‎Teachers and prefects on duty are informed that morning preps and assembly starts as usual from 5:40 AM and 6:20 AM respectively.
‎Non-teaching and supportive staff are required to resume their duties effective immediately on Sunday 17 May 2026.
‎
‎The teaching staff are all informed to attend professional development on Friday 15 May 2026 at the school by 8:00 am. This will help us plan earlier for effective teaching & learning in second term.

I was told to leave South Sudan and live in one of the neighbouring countries. I paused and asked myself, “Why is that possible?”

What is in other countries that is not in South Sudan?

My father did not fight for this country’s freedom for his children to abandon it, I believe.
I thought South Sudan was born in me, not me in South Sudan.

If South Sudanese leave South Sudan, will there still be South Sudan? I believe no.

Therefore, for South Sudan to be admired like neighbouring countries, it first needs me to be better and unique. I should be a good teacher, a good doctor, a creative and innovative entrepreneur, a responsible husband, a good security guard, a leader of integrity, and a loving, inclusive citizen.

Neighbouring countries, with their uniqueness, were built by their own citizens. I believe they are human beings just like me and you. Running after the results of their commitment—is that not slavery?

Think today and do one thing that you are able to do better. Whether it is cleaning hospitals, towns, or helping others, do it. It makes a difference.
