THE REAL FREEDOM FIGHTER WHO FIRED THE FIRST BULLET IN PIBOR.
16 MAY 1983, ANYANYA & SPLA VETERAN
CAPTAIN RIEK MACHUOCH born in Akobo from Lou Nuer Community, Captain David shot the first bullet in Pibor, the present Greater Pibor Administrative Area(GPAA), hours before Bor mutiny commenced.

Captain David Riek Machuoch was the commander of Army Forces in Pibor and Pochalla respectively, Maj Kerubino Kuanyien Bol was the commander for the Armies in Bor, while William Nyuon Bany commanded Ayod forces,the triple commanders all fought in ANYANYA1 battle as the Freedom Fighters for 17 years war between Southerners and Northerners.
The war which began with the Torit Mutinous on August 18, 1955 and ended with the Addis Ababa Agreement in 1972, Captain David Riek Machuoch fought the heroic war alongside the Southerners.

While in Pibor, Captain was aware of anticipated attack planned against Southerners in the armies by Arab Commander Major General Sadiq, this planned led to the mutinied of the Southern Sudanese soldiers in the three garrisons of Bor, Pibor and Pochalla, waiting for anticipated attacks, Captain David Riek Machuoch with his troops fought early in Pibor with Arab troops, he engaged the enemies in Pibor with a hot fight before the engagement in Bor which was fought, commanded by Maj Kerubino Kuanyin Bol.
I salute you, Lt Gen David Riek Machuoch in your Grass Thatched in Juba,though you don't have wealth but God is seeing you, you have achieved the objective of struggle.

All are being done based on the previous ratio card given to the households.

NB! UNFOA will definitely start distributing the seeds to the farmers before the end of May.

Dear Naath Students,

Good morning.

I should have written this yesterday, but I arrived home late due to numerous engagements after the election.

I want to thank all the delegates and the students who did not make it to the delegates for showing their intellectuality during the Naath Students' Union election process.

I also thank my supporters who worked hard to ensure our success in the election.

Although we did not win, that is how elections go. I ask you to work with boum and come together and fulfill our mission of uniting the NASU.

My dear brothers and sisters, I congratulate the winner, my brother Mr. Buom, and the other candidates. I wish them all the best in managing our students' affairs.

Additionally, I will try to organize a time for my team and me to congratulate Mr. Buom in person to officially show our respect for the decision made by the delegates in choosing the leaders who will guide us.

She was one of the late 20th century's influential personalities in the contemporary Nuer sociocultural formation. A descendent of Bor Geah Gaw Raan. Born in Koch County of Unity State to a renowned 20th-century Western Nuer Spiritual Leader Kolang Ked.

Nyaruach Kulang Ket was unmarried and never dated a man in her entire life. She was holy and an influential personality throughout the Nuer land after the death of Guek Ngundeng B**g in 1928.

She was a renowned high-profile Nuer female spiritual leader, and mother to every Nuer child of her generation known today by the name Tharjiath Nyakolang!
