University of Juba blocks students from accessing Main & Western campuses as the semester nears its end. Following a recent notice, senior students who haven't cleared their tuition fees are now barred from sitting end-of-semester exams. A stark reminder—no payment, no exam.

"We are like four times below the threshold which the country needs in order to pull itself. If we do a simulation, if we double this to 8 percent, we would generate $500 million a year in tax revenue. If we reach 15 percent, that becomes over $1 billion. But without strong organization and a strong civil service, including tax administration, we will continue to be challenged." Prof. John Akec's remarks during the public lecture presented by British Ambassador David Ashley on Friday at the University of Juba.

It has come to our attention that the page "Sixty 4 Tribes Press" has published false, unsubstantiated allegations against Prof. John Akec, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba.

We categorically state that these claims are entirely false, misleading, and without any basis in fact. The publication is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the Vice Chancellor and the University as a whole.

We strongly advise the administrators of "Sixty 4 Tribes Press" to immediately retract the false publication and cease spreading misinformation about our institution and its leadership.

The University reserves the right to take appropriate legal action should these false publications continue.

Members of the public are advised to disregard the said publication and rely only on official communication from the University through our media channels.
