General Summary Of Green Tournament also known as National Schools Debate and Speech Competition

Greenbelt Academy went with two strong teams; The Sentinels which consisted of Lual Mading, Tabitha Angeth Maker and Ayuen Abraham Panchol there was also Team Rhetoric Circles which consisted of Mabior Mading, Abraham Anyuon and Peterson Angok Mayol. We also had Garang Ajang Kiir on the category of Public Speech.
The tournament went through and at the end of preliminary rounds, our two teams broke through to the octofinals (round of sixteen) all with 4/5 wins as Rhetoric Circles occupying the fourth position and Sentinels with sixth in the break tab. But very unfortunately, The Rhetorics fell short in the octos against Venus International SS while Sentinels proceeded upto semis where they didn't make it against Darling Wisdom Pentagon.
Our one and only public speaker Garang didn't also make it to their semifinals.
Best of all, our two speakers appeared in top tens with Lual Mading the tenth and Abraham Anyuon the third 🥉best debater.

It didn't go as we planned but it worth appreciation for being there taking part shout out to our school administration and Joint Debate Society for all the memories, lessons from both wins and losses, and most importantly the people we were able to interact with.
